I got the large expensive wonderfold wagon that’s themed like a VW bus and it’s way too big and heavy to fold and take anywhere. It’s 75 lbs and I’m a single mom that cannot lift that in and out of my car. So I went to target and got a cheap one for $100 and that works very well. I take it everywhere for my son and he’s comfy.
r/Preschoolers • Wagon stroller recommendations besides Wonderfold? ->We have a chicco travel system stroller and a 4 seater wonderfold we got off Facebook, only have 1 baby
r/NewParents • Who else has 2 or more strollers and one kid? Are my stroller choices justified? ->Agree about the Wonderfold W4. Incredible wagon, but it’s like 65 pounds and takes the entire trunk. It’s technically portable, but you better be strong and have a big car. For that reason, best use is walks originating at home where it can be stored.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->We have a 5yo, 3yo, and 18mo and pregnant with #4. We have a double stroller and a wonderfold wagon that seats four. It didn’t feel necessary when we had just the 5yo and 3yo (back when they were a newborn and 20mo), as the double stroller more than met our needs. The wagon for us now is more of a luxury - we use the wagon mostly when we are walking long distances where the 5yo may need to ride in addition to the 3yo and 18mo. Also I don’t think I would want a kid younger than like 16-18mo to ride in the wagon unless you always strap them into the seat. It’s also way heavier to pick up, collapse, and actually doesn’t fit in our van without removing the handle. I never collapse or load it in the wagon, my husband does that and does the primary part of pushing it. But it is extremely nice to have when we go places like the zoo!! I should mention that my husband got an amazing deal on the wagon, I think it’s typically like $800 or something. He got it open box for something like $200-300. I don’t think we would have gotten it if we paid full price but who knows! When #4 is born we’ll need to use both the stroller and the wagon for a while to accommodate all the kiddos until he’s big enough to ride in the wagon! Editing to add that we have a Toyota sienna so it’s not like we have a small car. Though we do have to have all the seats up!
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->I LOVE my wonderfold 4 seater and sold our double Bob stroller because we never used it when compared to the Wonderfold I love that it has seats that can hold a shit ton of weight I love that the seats are raised so it’s actually comfortable I love all of the storage I love that it fits thru every standard door I love our wagon and I never thought I would lol ETA- it is heavy as all hell and takes nearly the entirety of our empty minivan back lol if I was still driving my Civic there is no chance I would be able to use the Wonderfold outside of my house Second ETA- we go to the zoo nearly weekly lol so it’s a very useful tool. I use it primarily walking to the local pool and in the zoo, so these were a huge plus to me. I do not use in stores, etc
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->Started with new uppababy vista, bought a used joovy double stroller, bought a new wonderfold W4, bought an umbrella stroller, bought a bugaboo donkey duo, sold the joovy, sold uppababy vista, bought a new uppababy minu and car seat adapter for the W4. planning on selling bugaboo donkey. Will likely end up buying a jogging stroller + bike trailer to replace our non-stroller convertible bike trailer. I have 3 kids, 3.5, 2, and 3.5mo. Different strollers have been useful for different seasons of parenting.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->There is no extra storage if your kids are sitting in the wagon. The stroller actually has more storage. If you want a wagon to just haul stuff, then it can be nice but you don't need to buy a fancy stroller wagon for that. We have a stroller wagon, it is bulky and awful to push with two kids(worse than the stroller) but it was helpful for the aquarium so kids can stand up on the wagon and see into the tanks. Outside of that, I don't think it is very helpful for anything else. I think the 80$ wagon from Costco is just as good. The 4 kid wonderfold is about the size of a pack and play, it is too big to push around in public.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->I picked up a Wonderfold X4 used. I have had it for 3 years and will sell it for the same amount I paid for it. It's a pain to take places but I use it a lot for pre-bedtime walks. The kids can lay down in it still (they are 6 and 3) now. I used to take it to the Farmer's Market because we do a lot of grocery shopping there. My oldest was kind of a lazy kid for a while when it came to walking so it was great for that time. My youngest is a walking champ so they are now evenly matched. I'll probably sell the wagon soon. I was happy to pay $150 for it but would have never paid retail.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->I have triplets so I have a 4-seater wonderfold wagon. I didn’t even bother with a stroller, I put a mini crib mattress in the bottom for when they were too little for the seats. Yes, we look ridiculous but there is no stroller I could use where I wouldn’t look ridiculous.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->We started with the uppababy Cruz and clicked in the nuna pipa car seat with the adapter. It’s very smooth and just feels nice to push. As our baby got older, we added a bob jogging stroller because the roads in our neighborhood aren’t smooth. We added the bugaboo butterfly recently since she likes to run around now and doesn’t care much for the stroller anymore. The one handed fold and compactness is really nice. We also have a wonderfold wagon but only plan to use it for long outings to the zoo.
