Anything by Alps mountaineering. Really good warrantee, great quality, good pricing.
r/camping • I need a new tent; what do you recommend? ->All the tents from Alps mountaineering have treated me very well in wind and rain. Colemans not so much.
r/camping • Looking for a 2P tent less than $250 that'll mostly be used for car camping ->I love my Alps tent and they’re not too expensive.
r/camping • I need a new tent; what do you recommend? ->Alps Mountaineering Camp Creek 4 person tent is a good option if you don't want to shell out $500 for a Gazelle. If you have any relation to Scouts you can use their discount website to get it for $150, otherwise I think it's $250 normally.
r/camping • Tent you can stand in comfortably ->I have the older 6 person version of this tent. It has a 7' center height. My only complaint is it's a little challenging to set up by yourself. My ex (5'11”) and I (6'5") bought it specifically because of the center height and straight sides. After we broke up and I mostly camp by myself I bought another tent that is easier to set up with only one person. The moral of this story is make sure your relationship is going to last before you buy this tent. Hahaha [Alps Camp Creek 4](https://share.google/u3VdaTOIiNJWuTUIt)
r/camping • Tent Purchase - Overwhelmed ->I kind of have a soft spot for and like this style of tent (I had an alps brand 2p version that i used for myself and my dog, it was reasonably priced), but I gave mine to a friend in favor of switching to an "ultralight" freestanding tent instead. If i was only planning to camp in places where i knew i would be able to stake into the ground I might have kept it.
r/CampingGear • Looking into getting my first real tent, would this be suitable? ->any of the alps mountaineering 4 person tents. they're awesome for the money
r/camping • Best value for money tent? ->Have one and it's awesome. Heavy for backpacking but split between members it's not bad.
r/camping • Best value for money tent? ->Kelty and Alps Mountaineering have both been good to me. Quality gear at excellent prices. I often reach for my alps gear more than my expensive MSR gear sometimes. Anecdotally, my Kelty Grand Mesa has lasted me almost 20 years. Still waterproof. My Alps Mountaineering tent has withstood several Pacific Northwest storms and many nights of absolutely frigid temps. Hasn’t let me down either. Check out discount websites like Sierra.com and Steep&Cheap for good sales.
r/CampingGear • Camping tents for Teens ->Second on the Alps, and I also own a Nemo dragonfly osmo. Some people will say they aren't necessary, but I disagree 100 percent, especially in your use case. Get. a. ground cloth/footprint. Even if it's a $4 dollar general blue tarp. If somebody in the troop has access to tyvek housewrap, even better. You can run that through a wash and dry cycle and make it a lot less crinkly if you want. Unless you plan on camping on carpeting, there will inevitably be a stick, rock, piece of broken glass or debris that will scratch or puncture your floor. As far as purchasing, also keep an eye on the REI Garage Sale. I've seen some really good deals on things that were returned after a couple uses or missing an item that could be easily replaced.
r/CampingGear • HALP! I'm lost in the weeds of tent recommendations ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
