I have both the four and eight person versions of this tent. I’ve been camping in the PNW for decades and they’ve taken everything Nature has thrown at them.

I have this tent and it’s a beast. It’s by far the most sturdy tent I’ve ever had.

We’ve use a Cabella’s Guide Series dome tent for 16 years. Been through 5-6” of rain and 70+ mph winds. No water intrusion ever. Big, expensive, heavy. Worth every penny.

Haha I meant like do you want more fabric or bug screens for the walls - I would never have a tent with just open walls. If it’s a hot place you want as much bug screening as possible for ventilation. The Nemo Highrise is a nice tent you can stand up in. Nemo is overall a highly reputable company and will stand behind their products. I have their backpacking tents. I have a friend that has the North Face wawaona 6P that he has had no complaints with. Someone else mentioned a Cabelas guide tent which I have (the cheaper green model) it’s a way more structurally bomb-proof tent, but has less ventilation and you cannot stand up in the 4P model. It will be warmer though if you camp in cooler weather and handle weather a ton better than taller tents. Big Agnes is another brand to consider too.

Same here. The Cabela’s alaskan guide tents are great, but heavy. Definitely wouldn’t want to backpack with one. I’ve got a North Face, can’t remember the name but it’s their version of the rei half dome. Bought it used in the early 2000s and it’s still going strong.
