Spacious vestibule, strong in storms, but rainfly tricky solo.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I just bought one around a year ago and the price has doubled since then.
I bought mine for right around $200. Today Amazon and Coleman are both listing it at $385
This is the tent I'm referring to. As soon as the tariffs were announced I jumped right on it. I just bought a Coleman cot/air bed combo. I was looking at it around a year ago and it was \~$120. It also jumped up in price to $239. I waited and it dropped back down to $170 but I don't think it's going any lower than that so I just bought it. I had to cancel and reorder because it got lost in the mail. But I just received it and am totally happy even at $170. But if you buy their cot, the air pump sucks because it needs four D size batteries. I just bought that little ETANWOLF 3 AIR rechargeable air pump for $20 (almost the price of four D size batteries). It works great.
I just got the Coleman 4 person Carlsbad Skydome with screen room and it's the best bang for your buck. Super easy set up, love the screen room for shoes and temporary space for gear as I switch from morning to sunset hikes. There's a video on YouTube by SquareandTrue to see the setup in action. I got the room darkening feature, but with the rain fly off, one side is 75% screen. Invest in quality stakes, use your guy lines and tie downs, you'll be fine. The less you spend on a tent, the more you have to spend on a other stuff. Coleman is reliable as long as you take extra care to secure it and store it well. I invested in a NEMO self inflating sleep pad and I'm so glad I did, so worth it..
I have the Coleman Montana and the Coleman Carlsbad. Love the Montana, but the footprint is huge. We don't camp a ton, but this is our most-used tent and is plenty spacious for our family of 4. I hate the Carlsbad. Ours is only 4p, so idk if the 8p is taller, but I can't stand up in it. But the *worst* feature is the vestibule. The zippers come together at the ground in the middle. There's nothing holding it taut, so you can't unzip it one handed *and* it's on the ground. It's extremely frustrating if you're carrying anything. Plus, there are large holes on the sides of the vestibule for cords or whatever, so you'll get plenty of bugs in there.
I got the Carlsbad Dark Room. It’s a four person so it’s a little more work to set up alone but it’s getting easier the more I use it.
I have a coleman 6 person dark room tent and my buddy liked it so much he bought an 8 person version of the same tent. There is enough room to stand up and it worked well for me, my wife, and dog. We use a double high queen size air mattress in the tent. However if you are camping 60+ nights a year I would not expect a coleman tent to hold up for very long. We only camp a few times a year and the stake out points for the rain fly have started to tear. I have heard very good things about the REI tents like the wonderland and the Base Camp. I have also heard good things about the North Face Wawona tents. There is a woman on youtube that goes by the handel Camping Guidance who has done detailed reviews on quite a few different tents. I would take a look at some of her videos to see if there is anything that looks like it would fit your use case well.
I bought a Coleman Darkroom 6 person tent. I loved it. Unfortunately it melted. So I bought another! But unfortunately I bought the 4 person by accident which I couldn’t stand up in. So, I bought ANOTHER 6 man. So anyway, love that tent. I bought some little string lights to hang up inside because it’s very, very dark in there. Nice for sleeping in and staying cool!
