"The footprint of the floor is a square for the T4 hub tent, so you should find the available space easy to work with, even with mattress. ... We have the T4 plus, which is just two squares with a room divider. We use cots and there is room for 5 and the dogs."
"I also loved how tall it was, you can probably stand up straight even as a tall person. ... Standing up straight in a tent is a game changer"
"I'm 6'3 and can stand up in it."

"never deflates"
"Also pitched it on bare rock using rocks to hold the stakes on a decently breezy night and it was pretty bombproof."
"the nearly 8 yr old tent is still going strong (handed down to my sister)"

"It rained heavily overnight, and while the screen porch was damp, we and all our things inside the tent were completely dry."
"I've camped in this for a few summers and it's kept me nice and dry (which is amazing because summer 2023 we had almost 3 straight months of rain here)."
"We camped in the poconos last August in like a hurricane and everyone else was screwed and we just sat there like well… glad this works lol"

"I love having that screened in foyer. ... Helps with keeping the main cabin clean and if the bugs are bad, I can sit in there and not get eaten alive."
"it had a built in screen porch side that gave you the choice to have a tent and screen porch all in one. A true glamping tent!"
"I also refuse to let bugs into the tent if possible and I had a [6 person Coleman] tent that had a “screened porch” feature ... There were two separate zipper doors, so we made sure one door was always closed (I.e. if you want to go into the main tent area, close the outer one)."

"Nah, too heavy. ... It’s heavy af though, my wife could barely lift and fold it. ... We had a vista v2 and it was way too heavy"
"I wish I’d have known that mine wasn’t Disney compatible! ... I have the uppababy vista 2 and it’s not easy to just collapse and put back up when we got on buses. ... It’s not hard but you have to take the seat out and all that. So we were holding the stroller part, the seat and her. HARD!"
"The Vista is great--I definitely wouldn't travel with it, though. ... I simply would not have taken all the trips I took, especially alone, if I'd had to deal with more complicated gear. ... anytime you want to actually travel anywhere with it you've got to get the carseat out, get all the crap out of the storage basket, fold the stupid stroller, install the stupid carseat, get yourself into the car, then do it all again in reverse when you get out--and that's not adequately describing the emotional stress you feel as a new mom leaving your baby in the backseat of a taxi while you go put the stroller in the trunk."

"only complaint would be a lack of air flow as all the windows were a few feet above the ground so it was tough to get air flowing through the tent."
"my only complaint would be the windows are high so there is not much air flow low down."

"We went from a Coleman 4 person tent to a Coleman 12 tent. We also have a queen blow up mattress & having the extra room is amazing."
"Im camping now in a Coleman 4 person tent. 1 is comfy, 2 is cramped. 4 if we were midgets."
"I find that you basically have to halve the number of people advertised to fit in a tent to get a comfortable experience with space for gear and to be sleeping without being up against the side walls (which can cause moisture to transfer inside of the tent). ... my Coleman rent that is advertised as a 6 person tent but sleeps three plus gear better than it fits 6 sardines."

"After finishing up a trip this past weekend up in Maine I found out that my new 6 person Coleman tent is not water resistant to rain. ... I always thought Coleman made a decent tent until this past weekend when I found out the hardway with water seeping through every seem of the tent"

r/camping • Is this a good tent? ->Sorry, it’s $379. Scroll until you see the one with the screen porch on one end. The one I sent you before this did not have the screen look closely at the pictures. It shows 379 for the one with the screen on Amazon.
r/camping • Is this a good tent? ->Amazon has it for $384 right now Search “Colemen Tents and scroll down
r/camping • Is this a good tent? ->I have the Coleman Dome 6 (two of them) and a Core 9P, both have been great. Just left Bennett Springs in Missouri in our Coleman 6P and stayed dry the whole weekend.
r/camping • Do you guys have experience with these? ->I have a Coleman 6 person tent for family trips. Absolutely fantastic, especially given the price! It has a main room, small “entry”, and then another covered smaller area outside. Makes for taking shoes off real easy and contains the mess to one area.
r/camping • Do you guys have experience with these? ->I also am a huge Eureka fan. Out grew the pinnacle tent. I found the Coleman Evanston is pretty damn good and it has a screened in porch for extra room and it's been through a few rain storms no problem and it's got a nice fly. I found the porch to be awesome for weather because it gives you a buffer from a nice clean sleep area and a place to transition while still dry.
r/camping • What the best 6 person tent that can with stand heavy rain ->We just camped in a Coleman with a "porch" and that is a real game-changer! 4-6 person was pretty big for 2 gals, but it was easy and comfy.
r/camping • Parents who camp, need a tent rec! ->That tent is a coleman montana 8 person. I have had 2 of them,.they are very sturdy when all the guy lines are used. It does well in the rain... the fly covers the 2 side windows very well. my only complaint would be the windows are high so there is not much air flow low down. I always bring a small fan so not an issue. The coleman 6 person is what I used last. It was fine after I my dog passed and it was just me. I like to have enough room to stand, and bring a chair and small table inside incase it rains. This one is 10x10' and 6' tall. https://preview.redd.it/vna1vl7a5krf1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c7cb984cda2696f6a6e11b307ce64be9bd89425
r/camping • Ozark Trail Tent Returns ->I don't know about everyone else, but I've been camping like every year for the last 10 years at least, 3 seasons, through rains, winds, etc, and the first 8 of those years were done with my wife in a $50 4 person tent from Outbound/Coleman/Ozark etc, whatever the cheap stuff is at Walmart/Canadian Tire.. The last 2 years I switched to a 6 person Coleman I got for $60 on sale, because I had a baby and needed more room lol.. If it's your first time camping, I really don't see why anyone would recommend you spend hundreds of dollars when you can have a perfect experience with $50 lol (btw, never had a leak, any openings in the tent (like for running cables) you can just put a piece of tape over, and the only bugs you'll get are the ones you let in lol Tip: only go in and out of your tent without any lights on so as to not attract bugs
r/camping • Complete camping beginner needs help picking a tent ->I have a 6 person Coleman Evanston which is very similar to the skydome. I know Coleman isn’t then fanciest name or gets the best reputation, but it is honestly the best tent I have ever had. I love having that screened in foyer. Helps with keeping the main cabin clean and if the bugs are bad, I can sit in there and not get eaten alive.
r/camping • Do you guys have experience with these? ->Is it a tent that can fit 3 people, or is it marketed as a 3-person tent. I find that you basically have to halve the number of people advertised to fit in a tent to get a comfortable experience with space for gear and to be sleeping without being up against the side walls (which can cause moisture to transfer inside of the tent). Hiking/backpacking tents are tiny to pack and are lightweight. You can get three of them and still have room to spare compared to my Coleman rent that is advertised as a 6 person tent but sleeps three plus gear better than it fits 6 sardines.
r/camping • Tips for fitting 3 people + a dog in a tent? ->The Coleman cabin camping tent with screen porch works well for me. I love that it has the screen porch for those rainy days, and it also keeps the bugs out since I can create an airlock lol. I've camped in this for a few summers and it's kept me nice and dry (which is amazing because summer 2023 we had almost 3 straight months of rain here). https://a.co/d/bUMx8hA
