https://a.co/d/0aSNTCzc This is the coleman pop up. I've used this in the desert where you can't get a stake into the ground and baseball field campouts. I love you that i can set it up in the dark or pop it out when i get home if it's still wet when we leave. Kids aren't any help at all sometimes. This solved the problem of doing everything in my own when quick naps are important.
I have had a 4 person pop up from Coleman for almost ten years and it’s still in pretty good shape. Not great, but honestly if it starts storming I’m just going to get in my truck and either sleep there or leave. I (and most people) do not realistically need an insane level of quality. I get wanting nice stuff so you don’t have to worry about it, but it’s certainly not a necessity.
I got the Coleman pop up tent and my dog immediately ripped it. I can’t imagine this is better quality than Coleman. Hard pass.
Setting up family tents isn’t fun, let alone by your self. If I was to disregard your want for space, I suggest a Coleman pop up tent. They come in different sizes and will make your life easy. If it has to be one you shortlisted, I’d go the air tent.
Oh yeah, I'm with you on that: I have a tiny 1-person for if I'm hiking. The six person is a Coleman EZ pop-up, because I can't be bothered with the poles and cables and things. (Also I'm a bit of a glamper if I'm car-camping, so it's just an opinion of my taste).
I had a Coleman and replaced it with the t4. It does not compare. More expensive. Bugs get in because the floor is not connected. Its much smaller. The door is very awkward. I returned it.
Like you, I had a Coleman pop-up for 12 years with no issues. I am also worried about the quality now. I got the Blackberry Skylodge and the poles snapped. It was an awesome tent tho, the bug doors were so nice. I didn't like the T4 for the reasons I mentioned. I now do not have a tent and no clue what to do.
