A Sundome or Skydome is still easier to set up and a lot more waterproof. The fact that they added an extra sold separately rainfly to the Instant shows it’s bad.

We have a Coleman 8 person dome dent that my 2 nephews use when camping with us & it's the perfect size for 2 people + gear. A queen size mattress fills the 4 man tent almost completely.

I love my Skydome. There are fancier tents out there, but it was affordable and has stood up to rain and wind, as well as being pretty breathable on hot nights. On clear nights (and in less crowded campgrounds) you can remove the rain fly and look at the stars through the fully mesh top.

My Coleman sky dome is tall enough i can stand, and I'm 6'1"

I agree that the Coleman is a great value. I have a 8p one and use it for troop outings. When it’s just my son and I, I opt for my smaller 4p one as it is easier to set up and tear down.

We have a Coleman 8 person for the two of us and it’s awesome. It’s no more hassle and way more comfortable than our little one.

I found a Coleman 8 person tent for $100 new for car camping. It is huge. Queen sized air mattress fits with room to walk around. Of course I have to have two bags to haul it around but I’m just dropping it on the ground maybe 20’ from the car. The screened porch is nice but if you put your cooler out there some raccoons may want to have a look.

For car camping we use a Coleman 8 person tent. Being able to stand upright in the center is amazing, and having one side for chairs if it's raining is a bonus.
