I have a 4 person sundome as my primary tent and it has never leaked or collapsed. See if you have a Ollie's bargain outlet near you. They have great deals on these tents.
3. I do scouts camping Coleman 4p sundome that I usually use. I think it meets your requirements but I don't think is 68" tall Old REI 4 person whose name eludes me that I usually give my 13 year old Coleman 8 person with fully enclosed vestibule that I rarely use but am taking to summer camp this year. It's hard to set up with one person (I'm a bit short to reach easily to do the rain fly) but if I were taller it'd probably be doable
I found a Coleman Sun Dome tent used 4 person on Craigslist for $10 and it has been a champ in just about every condition over the last six years. I recommend starting with something inexpensive until you get a few trips under your belt. See what you need and find something that is flexible/versatile for your preferences. I had have 4 and 6 person sun dome. Great tents for gmt l the money. Never had an issue with either after many seasons and more than a few rain storms.
Imo, Coleman Sundome tents are a lot more durable than Ozark Trail, plus you can usually find the 4-person version on sale for just under $100 if you keep an eye out at Walmart or Amazon.
The Sundome or Cabin series are car camping staples. Great value, easy setup, perfectly adequate for 40-75°F. The ventilation is decent and they're bomber in light rain. Downsides: heavier materials, can get condensation if you seal it up too much. Honestly for your use case, Coleman is probably the practical choice. The price difference could go toward a better sleeping pad or quilt which makes way more difference for comfort.
I have a Carlsbad 8 person that’s 15x12 but we also bring along our Sundome 4 person for situations that won’t allow the 8 person. As others have said, most National Park grounds list the pad site size. Also, speaking of downsides. Larger tents create a larger profiles. It can be detrimental in situations such as strong winds.
