"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"they are extremely durable. ... I’ve got well over 1000 miles out of a pair and they still have grip and the uppers are in great shape"
"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"

"Super easy. ... Took about 20-30 minutes"
"sets up in under 3 min including stake out time. ... Take down is just as fast and it fits in its storage bag with out much fuss. ... set up in under 90 seconds 120 if you putting in stakes."

"A two-person tent for a solo traveler makes stuff management SO much easier. ... When you have a one-person tent, its interior space is gonna be pretty close to the footprint of your sleeping pad, meaning A) it's impossible to lay out the stuff you need at night in an organized way such that you know where it is at all times, and 2) loose objects like an AirPod or whatever are gonna get misplaced and tend to end up under your sleeping pad, which means you have to sit up and dig around under there to find it. This is a constant hassle, a huge pain in the ass."
"I picked up my 10x10' - sleeps 4 VERY comfortably and you can stand up and get dressed for $400 used. ... I don't recommend anything else for car camping."
"We had a rainy trip one year and having the extra room to hang out in the tent playing board games made the kids happy."

"With our 2nd tent we did do a camping trip when it was super windy and the tent held up no problem. ... it's fine once you get it set up and staked down."
"super stable when staked out. ... Was camping once and crazy winds kicked up. Friend in RTT had to close it and other friends smaller tent was blowing flat over. We played cards all afternoon in the Gazelle, no problem."
"I’ve been in it during a very windy thunderstorm and it held up remarkably."

"If I need more than 4 R insulation (I'm sleeping on snow most likely) I'm taking a ccf for backup because I don't want to die."
"I had to return my Etherlight XT since it was too cold to use even in summer."
"Im not sure if I can trust S2S with another pad after my freezing XT. ... Comfort counts for nothing if using a quilt and you're cold."

"A week in, a pole broke in the wind"
"The tent feels flimsy overall. ... The elbow joints in the frame can bend the wrong way, and fixing them is a pain. ... I think the tent will be okay for a short time, but durability is a concern. ... I’ve only set it up twice, and the elbows were already badly twisted. To fix them, I had to bend them even more, which isn’t a good sign. ... I can’t see the frame lasting more than a couple of seasons."
"The one downfall I would say is the rigidity of the tent poles. ... Was setting up the tent on a windy day and the wind caught the tent just perfectly so that it bent one of the poles. ... Luckily the tent still worked but the bent pole was eventually going to snap so I had to get a new tent. ... So I'd say just be careful when setting up if it's windy – it's fine once you get it set up and staked down."

I had the Core 6 person for several years. It's a great starter tent for my two little kids and I, but for four people, especially two that are still growing, go for the 10 person. I guess you can get all four into the six person, but there won't be room for much else and you'll be tripping over each other if someone needs to go pee in the middle of the night or whatever. If the 10 person has a room divider, that's especially nice since they can have their own little area.
r/camping • 6 or 10 person tent for family ->Look at Core Cabin tents. I think Costco sells them. Easy to set up for first timers and you can stand in them. Get a 6 or 8 person. Keep in mind that the number is the number of average sized sleeping bags it will hold crammed next to each other.
r/camping • Planning my first camping trip ->Check out a core instant. I have a 10, maybe 12 person, I don’t remember, but it’s a 10x14 footprint and easily holds 3 cots. If you have a Costco nearby check there, that’s where I got mine, and it was $250 last year when I bought it
r/camping • Tent recommend to fit 3 people on cots? ->So I haven’t experienced much rain with that one, but my other core tent that I have has held up well in rain. As long as you stake out the guy lines. Don’t make the same mistake I did 😅😅. It’s a great tent though, I was hesitant about the instant part of it having not used one before, but I love it. I can put it up/take it down by myself, plus it’s lighted so can’t complain about that either haha
r/camping • Tent recommend to fit 3 people on cots? ->The 10 person core will be amazing for you. I've used it for years before moving most of my camping to my pop-up. But I still use mine for the occasional trip.
r/camping • 6 or 10 person tent for family ->Love the Core Instant Cabin. Goes up super fast and is cheap at Costco
r/camping • Recommendations for a tent for two cots ->Get an instant cabin tent for the adults (5 minute setup) and possibly smaller tents for the kids. Your mom will likely also need a cot or tall air mattress, getting up off the floor or even sleeping on a hard floor can be too much as you get older. Core, Coleman, and Walmart all make inexpensive instant tents. Our core tent has lasted for 3 years of monthly camping trips. It's not great at heavy rain, but the newer models are supposed to be better.
r/carcamping • Recommendations for tent, car camping with lots of kids. ->I’m really happy with my core brand 10-person cabin tent that I got at Costco.
r/camping • Family tent recommendations ->If you have Costco, check in your warehouse to see if they have core 10p remaining. They're a good buy for your money and of course, Costco has the best return policy. They also have awesome camping friendly stuff out at the moment - lanterns and flashlights, cook tops, chairs, I think they even had a few cots out.
r/camping • Tent suggestions on a budget - reviews are contradicting.. ->To be honest the 3 brands you mentioned are pretty solid for budget friendly tents. I have a Core 10 person, my friend has the Gazelle T4 and both are solid and easy to set up.
r/camping • Recommendation for Instant Cabin style tent, 2025 ->Any of the Core instant tents are GREAT. Our family of 5 (plus dog!) finally switched to an instant tent and it’s a game changer because it opens up like an umbrella, so one person can set the tent by themselves in minutes. Get a 6-person tent to fit three people, including an air mattress and playard.
