I bought the 6 person instant cabin from them a few days ago. It was so easy to set up and plenty of room for myself and my wife. We camped in our yard over night to test it out and it was great. https://www.coreequipment.com/collections/tents/products/6-person-instant-cabin-tent?_gl=1*3h7t0a*_up*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpZWzBhC0ARIsACvjWRNkXL8uuLYRQoJr0T9di8wOHk6C4WVLRRvgHMO2M6CWdEthaqC1hb8aAoJZEALw_wcB

I use a core 6 man instant tent. It has withstood high winds 45mph+, a week long downpour in the Sierras, has great ventilation, and dries out quickly in the Sun.

I have a Core 6 person instant cabin for myself. I'm 6'1 and can stand up straight in the center. It allows me plenty of room for my Teton XXL cot to one side and tv tray table with a chair on the other for those rainy days.

That was my very first tent. Not a bad unit for the money. Make sure to buy the rainfly accessory if it doesn't come with one.

Coleman instant up tents are quick, but their rain flies and rainproofing suck. There is a [Core tent](https://www.coreequipment.com/products/copy-of-6-person-instant-cabin-tent-11-x-9) with a full coverage rainfly, however you have to open/close the rainfly windows and doors from outside the tent, not that big a deal since you'd only be doing that if it starts/stops rain. There would also be no airflow when it's raining. Dome tents in general are pretty easy to setup these days, we have this one which can be done in under 5 min: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/woods-creekside-3-season-6-person-camping-dome-tent-w-canopy-awning-rain-fly-carry-bag-0766068p.html?rq=woods+6+person+tent If it's going to rain, I'd recommend putting a tarp over your tent regardless to help with water and allowing you to still open windows for airflow.

I've had that exact one for 5 years with heavy summer use car camping and at festivals. After 5 year, the door zipper finally last week. I immediately ordered another one when I got home. They aren't the best quality, but hot dam is it fast and easy to set up. Timed myself once with it folded up out of the bag to fully standing and it only took 23 seconds. You can easily fit a queen size air mattress in them, and still have half the floor space open. We put a small rug down. You could get some table space in there no prob.

I've had the same issue. Happened pretty quickly as I recall too, but quick and easy to replair. Oh, and some of the straps on the rain fly tore easily too, but the rain fly remained fully serviceable

Hey quick question! Ive received the tent and just put it up and took it down! That part was easy and as advertised. Did you notice lots of imperfections with the window mesh? And do you find it feel really like REALLY CHEAP MESH? I feel like accidentally touching a branch would immediately rip it a part. What are your thoughts on that?

I have this tent and have used it for 5-6 trips over the past few years. It is an amazing tent with one critical flaw: when folded up, the bottom of the tent rubs and is stressed at the point where the poles meet the bottom. We have had to patch and add layers to the bottom to prevent moisture from penetrating the tent (live in PNW). Other than that the tent is awesome. I can set it up myself and we can fit two queen air beds in it along with our bags. It has slept our family of four comfortably for about five years.

I've got a 6-person I bought at costco a few years ago. The dome version, not the pop-up. Mine is exactly like this one, but green - [https://www.amazon.com/CORE-Person-Lighted-Dome-Tent/dp/B0CXFD395S](https://www.amazon.com/CORE-Person-Lighted-Dome-Tent/dp/B0CXFD395S) I was at costco today and they had the same tent but in core's new grey with red trim color scheme. Works well, easier to set up than the ones I used as a kid, pretty heavy but not terrible. Easily fits two queen size air mattresses with room to spare. We use it with two adults, two kids, and a dog. You could legitimately get 6 people in it, but like most tents, putting 6 people means 6 mummy bags and not a ton of room for gear.

I have a Core 6 Instant Cabin from Costco (they have it other places but I love Costco’s return policy) that has been a really amazing tent. I got some screw down pegs from Amazon that you put into the ground w/ a drill and this bad boy survived 40 mph gusts and also sat in an inch of water without flooding. I have been very happy w the price and performance of this tent, it is an easy up so it takes 1-2 minutes to assemble. For 2 people, it is. Dry spacious and set up a rain fly to cook under and you have yourself a sweet little setup! Highly recommend this tent!

I'm a huge proponent of the CORE instant cabin tent, they come in 4p, 6p, and 10p. Im 5'9ft and my bf is 6ft, we can stand up & walk around comfortably. I have the 6p core tent, in my last camping trip it was the only tent out of 3 to survive the storms. We opted for the 6person bc we typically end up housing our friends on our trips because they dont camp enough to buy decent gear.

From what I've seen online comparing the two brands, they're very similar, if not identical in design. To me, a 4-year-old tent is worth upgrading, just for peace of mind. I don't have much personal experience with Coleman tents, but the 6p Coleman is only about $20-$30 less than the 6p Core depending on where you buy them from. all things considered its totally worth the upgrade on a 4yr old tent.

I had the Core 6 person for several years. It's a great starter tent for my two little kids and I, but for four people, especially two that are still growing, go for the 10 person. I guess you can get all four into the six person, but there won't be room for much else and you'll be tripping over each other if someone needs to go pee in the middle of the night or whatever. If the 10 person has a room divider, that's especially nice since they can have their own little area.

I’ve had instant tents from core and Ozark Trail and a Coleman dome tent. Any will do fine for getting into camping. I always stress not spending a lot when you get started. I’ve known people to start camping then quit after a few times or decide to buy a camper or get into back packing inside. Go budget amid use as much stuff that you already have to start out

If you are just sleeping in it, you can fit in the six. But, if you ever use it to hang during off sleeping hours, get the ten. Inclement weather or pre bed time can wear on you in a cramped tent!

I've had two seasons with the Core-4 Straight Wall Cabin tent and it's held up well on the PNW coast \[rain/wind\]. It is not as ruggedly built as my Timberline-2 by Eureka, but for $129 it's a good deal. I'd definitely recommend you get the Core-6 model. It's on sale for $159, but you'll also need a tarp-groundsheet. I also use a cheap \[$35\] tent fly so I can erect a lounging-cooking space out of the rain. \*These Core tents allow standing room. I still use my Timberlane in harsh weather, but it's damn nice to be able to stand inside the tent.

We have 2 core tents. Love them. Especially now that they offer full rain fly and footprints. And the dimensions of the 6 man tent really make it stand out - the rectangle shape (as opposed to square like Coleman’s) is fantastic.

We just picked up the 6P Core for $99 and the one thing that is kind of weird to me is if you don't have the rainfly on the side and rear panels are like 60% mesh. Now this may be strategic for air flow with the rainfly on but I would really prefer one with solid walls and a smaller portion of mesh at the top but then again this is our first tent.

I have had zero issues with any Coleman, Ozark Trails or Core I have owned. Costcot has a 6 person Core on sale (in warehouse) for like $99 bucks right now and I actually want to buy it just because. I've even used Embark brand from Target (not quite sure if its even a thing anymore) and that tent got me through a few years.

That seems the be the issue with most instant tents. I haven't had any ripped on me in 10+ years, between coleman and core, but I can see where it stretches. They shipped it with a piece of cardboard that fits between the hub and tent when folded. I reused it for several years.

Been camping with 3 for the past 12yrs. Used a Browning (by Alps) Big Horn for 10 of those. It's been great and excellent customer service. I going to replace it with a Core Instant tent. The quality of these instant tents has gone up enough that I trust them. I was very unimpressed with the Coleman instants. I have lots of camping hacks to keep the tent somewhat orderly. Let me know if interested.

I have an instant set up tent from Core and it’s amazing! It was relatively inexpensive too. When my family camps, one adult can set the tent up in 1-2 minutes while the other watches the toddler. The poles stay attached to the tent always, so set up and break down are really easy.

Get an instant cabin tent for the adults (5 minute setup) and possibly smaller tents for the kids. Your mom will likely also need a cot or tall air mattress, getting up off the floor or even sleeping on a hard floor can be too much as you get older. Core, Coleman, and Walmart all make inexpensive instant tents. Our core tent has lasted for 3 years of monthly camping trips. It's not great at heavy rain, but the newer models are supposed to be better.

Look at Core Cabin tents. I think Costco sells them. Easy to set up for first timers and you can stand in them. Get a 6 or 8 person. Keep in mind that the number is the number of average sized sleeping bags it will hold crammed next to each other.
