"The one downfall I would say is the rigidity of the tent poles. ... Was setting up the tent on a windy day and the wind caught the tent just perfectly so that it bent one of the poles. ... Luckily the tent still worked but the bent pole was eventually going to snap so I had to get a new tent. ... cinnabonnie89 0.3Check out a core instant. I have a 10, maybe 12 person, I don’t remember, but it’s a 10x14 footprint and easily holds 3 cots. If you have a Costco nearby check there, that’s where I got mine, and it was $250 last year when I bought it
So I haven’t experienced much rain with that one, but my other core tent that I have has held up well in rain. As long as you stake out the guy lines. Don’t make the same mistake I did 😅😅. It’s a great tent though, I was hesitant about the instant part of it having not used one before, but I love it. I can put it up/take it down by myself, plus it’s lighted so can’t complain about that either haha

Monteflash 0.1Core instant tents are great. Very affordable, durable for car camping, standing interior height and so easy to put up. Both the 6 and 10 person instant tents have full rain fly versions. Fwiw, the Core 6 person tent is such a better dimension over the Coleman. The Core footprint is rectangular vs the Coleman square footprint. It makes using the space so much more efficient. ** We use 3 cots in our Core tent with walking/standing space between the cots, something not possible in our friends’ Coleman.
