The two person tarp version of the MT900 is 190€, the 150€ version is for one person. I have the one person version and while a bit slim, it's a decent entry level tent. OP, you can get that and two of the MT500 trekking poles for like 20€ each, so you can either use them yourself or share them and use one each. They aren't ultralight, but really decent given the price.
If you are using trekking poles, the Forclaz MT900 Tarp Tent from Decathlon makes a very good argument. It is what I've been using right now and I've been pretty happy with it. 1.3kg, and properly wind tested. In any case they also have self standing (1.95kg) and tunnel (1.65kg) MT900 versions still under 300€.
Well my Forclaz MT900 UL 2 person tent is really a 1 person tent because I'm tall... Are you two really small? Then a one person tent could work for two.
This is actually a very decent tent. I have one, got it at the start of the season. I camped at least 40 nights in it during this year and it is still fine. And there was some hard raind few times. Held up without any hiccup. I actually like the white, it seems more spacious. It has a few stains, but nothing disgusting. Imagine bright yellow or orange, kinda the same. It is not for use under strong sun, though. I checked the show models at Decathlon's yard this year and being in the sun, they tend to get yellow and don't last long. So if you are trekking like me, trekking during the day, set it up at the end of the day and get up in the morning 7-8, wait for it to dry in the morning sun and start the hike, it is completely fine. If you tend to go classic camping with it, on the plain, in the sun, days on end, this is not a product for you. I love it because it is super light for the price point, and you can shove it anywhere in your backpack making it a breeze to carry. Also, no dies while making, so it is good for the environment. Has "rip-stop" fabric, though I didn't have any punctures to test it :D luckily. It has tick reinforcement at the pockets where your hiking sticks go. Being that I am a girl, on a smaller side 163cm and trekking mostly alone, it is important that my tent is light and this one is. Pair it with the forklaz 500 ground sheet for 2 or 3 person and you have a tarp or a ground sheet depending on what you need at the moment. I tried some other brands and models, but given the price point and what it offers, for me it is a no-brainer. I enjoy it and would buy it again.
Decathlon Forclaz MT900 Ultralight 2 Persons, currently ~250€ in Europe (it cost half that 5 years ago...). This one weighs 1.6kg, there's also a heavier version with a similar name, so make sure to double-check. There's also an MT900 tarp version for 1.3kg and 150€, but you need separate hiking poles.
The decathlon mt900 tent is pretty affordable and is almost the same as some of the MSR tents. It’s pretty light too, only downside I’d say is maybe don’t take it out in really really bad winds because the poles are pretty light. If you need smth more durable, maybe not the one. It’s roomy enough to fit two, but snugly. It’s a really nice spacious one person tent though and you can sit up fully in it
Decathlon's trek 900 series is actualy amazing for the price - their 900g down sleeping bag is around €120, their 40L pack is under 1kg for €80, and they've got those MT900 tents listed in OP's comment that are solid trekking pole shelters.
