I got the mh100 2p non-xl f+b for this year, and it worked a treat. Nothing to complain about
Solo, and the mini porch was enough for my shoes etc so it was worth the lower price/weight for me
They currently have a 2.6kg tent that packs small for CHF 30. Insane. QUECHUA Tente de camping - MH100 - 2 places CHF 29,9 https://www.decathlon.ch/fr/p/_/R-p-303295?mc=8513471
I had a couple of the 2P MH100 done tents that I would loan out to friends. They're a bit bulky and heavy but are pretty decent value for the price (€30). They hold out well in poor weather and are pretty simple to set up and pack down. I would recommend these over other budget tents as Decathlon readily sell spare parts. I do not recommend the pop up tents. They are bulky and a right pain to pack. These are also only single layer.
Quechua MH100 from décathlon. For 70€ you get every bang from your buck.
Décathlon : Quechua MH / SIMOND MT séries = incredible value for money. Price starting at 30€ up to hundreds.
>Has anyone tried it before? are you serious? This is basically their best selling tent model. That being said I'd rather spend a little more and get the 2 seconds easy foldable tent (which is a completely different model than the "2 seconds"). I've got the 2P and 3P size and they're vastly superior compared to the MH100 or 2 seconds pop up tents.

I have a 2P tent, I'm about 5'10 but on the bulky side. I like the space a 2P tent has as I can put all my stuff inside if I need to and have room to sit without having to lie on my sleeping stuff. I really didnt know what tent to go for but I ended up settling on one from Decathlon after looking round the outdoors and camping shops for months, it wasn't that bad of a price and packs down to a decent size and isn't that heavy either. You will be warmer in a 1P tent as there's less room for cold air.
I have the two person version and love it so far. It's very nice to have if you're light sensitive or stayed up too late around the campfire and need to sleep in. Air circulation isn't the best but cracking the zippers at the top helps. I slept in it for three nights during the last atmospheric river in Southern California without any water leakage, even with a good amount of flooding at some points. https://preview.redd.it/p9zea2wa6bfg1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fa46e5a7d17ef66ebd94a3c5979d82f44ccd6c0
