If you’re going to be camping for more than 10 years, the Alpha Breeze is the way to go. The Eureka, while I’m sure is fine, is not even in the same category of quality as the Snow Peak. Other commenters have mentioned price, it is expensive, but I think it boils down to how long you’re gonna be using this for. Also, if you get the Snow Peak, get the padded floor and footprint set. I can say without reservations that it’s one of the best tents I’ve ever used.

I have the Eureka space camp. Great tent if you have a group with you. Pain to set up and take down alone as it’s quite large. Triple that if it’s windy. If you are going to car camp alone and have the cargo room, maybe look at a swag. I thought I wanted a big tent until I realized we only spend time in it to sleep. Sleep comfort and ease of setup/takedown became more important than room. Hope this helps.

I have the 6 person. Colors are great, not obnoxious in any way. No issues sleeping at all. Company is no longer around I believe, so no warranty. Nice way to get an expensive tent for cheap though.

I bought a space camp 6 earlier this year and absolutely love it. I set it up solo a few weeks ago and it really wasn’t bad at all. Perfect amount of space for me, my wife and our two big dogs. I wish I bought two when I found it in stock.

I have the space camp 6 and use it solo a lot But, I am 6'3" so smaller tents are more of a hassle. I love all the space, as i cycle and there is room for my bike in there. Set up is super easy. Tons of ventilation. Great for my 3 season camping.

Not with my bike in it. I lay a heavy duty tarp down inside the tent to lay the bike on it. Takes up about half the tent.

For me, it was between REI Base Camp 6 and Eureka Space Camp. The Eureka had more room but the REI was more bomb proof. And I really liked the ability to close up the REI tent for cooler weather. We are not the type of family to let bad weather spoil our trip. I'm not familiar with snow peak tents but I would guess this comes down to personal preference depending on your intended use. Just buy them both, open them up in an dry and clean space, check out their features, then return the one that better suits you. Edit: Upon further review, the alpha breeze and Eureka Space Camp are wildly different sizes, making comparisons difficult.

For that price on the Eureka I would just make sure it's not too big for your needs and then go with that one. Buy one from somewhere else and then return it. Or go check out a similar sized one. But again, for that price, buy it, use it on a trip, if you don't like it, sell it as only used once. You'd probably come out even.

r/campingWhat is a good, large tent for 2 people who want more space? Would like to be able to stand up in the tent when car camping. Budget is up to $750

Too bad Eureka stop making tents. We have a Eureka Spacecamp, it’s just my husband and I but we like to be able to stand up and have a lot of room for gear. We also have the Eureka screen room with walls. It’s not our first Eureka, we had the Equinox some 35 years ago. We loved the brand, they are waterproof.

I have owned several Eurekas over the years. I still have all of them except my first 3 man, which i gave to my sister(she is still using it, its probably 20 years old, if not more). They get my vote for price and quality. To be fair, i haven't used many other tents because i haven't had to. I currently have a lightweight 2 person, apex 3 person, a 3 person with a large vestibule and now a 6 person as my family has grown.

Sportsman had eureka on sale. Snagged me one for a great price. It is replacing my old eureka I've had for almost 40 years. It's wonderful. Almost exactly the 6man. They have 8 too

I didn’t know tents still came with fibreglass poles, I haven’t had one with them since the 80s. The three I’ve bought since then (North Face, MEC, Eureka) have all been aluminum. You could probably just replace the poles of your current tent if you like the tent enough.
