I doubted Eureka, but the Suma 2, the cheapest backpacking tent at REI at the time, has now lasted me 6 years and is still going strong

Best budget for me was the eureka suma 2p. They are unfortunately closing their tent department and I got it for 100 (canadian). Not the best or the UL, but the tent is so good for the price. Stay off the rain and easy to set-up, plenty of space for my lonnnng legs.

Yanes is not a well-known reputable option for tents. Eureka has been a go-to option for guides and groups for years. It sucks that there likely won't be any future warranty for Eureka, but I've taken advantage of the sale prices and have stocked up. They're so cheap that it's worth buying more than you need and keeping backups for spare parts (to compensate for no warranty). I assume you've seen the Kohana on sale at MEC right now for 60% off? That price is crazy for a 4-person tent, especially for something as high-quality as Eureka. If a 4-person tent is what you need, I would buy as many of those as you can while they're still in stock and not think twice. edit: I see you're a fellow ACD owner. Just a heads up, no tent will withstand an accidental mid-zoomies body slam. I have a retired Eureka Suma 2 as evidence 😅
