I second the Featherstone UL Granite 2 person. Great tent with a lot of features that compare with more expensive iterations of the design. Video comparing it to others below. https://youtu.be/stSFZ4ugxTs?si=kBghHCtwW0pkBdQs

I have the featherstone granite 2 person tent and I love it it’s not crazy light weight it’s 5 pounds with all the stakes and footprint but they also have a Trecking pole tent that looks good I would recommend you look at there stuff
I have the Granite 2p as well.. I use it for trips with my 9yo and it's fantastic
Of the 2, I would get the CORE tent. I actually have a tent from that brand and it's decent for car-camping. It's going to be too heavy for backpacking though. If you're looking for an affordable 2 Person tent that's good quality and still light enough to carry, look at the Featherstone Granite 2p. I have been using one since it came out and it's a solid option.
Man I hoped this was higher up. I've had a featherstone granite 2P since 2022, and it's seen at least eight setups and half of those came with weather. Not a drop inside and outside looks damn near brand new. I just grabbed their backbone trek pole 1P tent, and for 6'4" 200lbs of me, that thing is huge. Part of me wishes to have bought the 2P backbone, which I still may. Their gear is bang for buck top shelf.
My Durston is light and roomy. I started in the 60s. Paring it down isn't easy and sometimes means saying goodbye to old gear friends. I like my Featherstone Granite II, for a self-standing. My first of my own was a Eureka Timberline, the old Boy Scouts tent. NOT light. Somewhat claustrophobic. Much depends on how big you are. I used a Northface Tadpole for a while too.
6. Big old REI that is awesome and roomy, Moss Triton beauty bomber of a tent, Durston x-mid 2, old reliable Kelty X frame, Featherstone Granite 2P- lotsa mesh, OneTigris Backwoods Bungalow 1st version. Gone are: Gave my NF Tadpole to my son in law. Great tent but too small. Old Eureka Timberline passed away after a long life. A dome melted by a careless friend. A stolen Kelty Cricket tadpole design.
