Take a look at the Fjalleraven Abisko Lite 3. Had it since January. Used in -3 and +24 degrees C. Quick to pitch, room for 2 with a big vestibule for kit and cooking. Ends go back when hot leaving mesh at each end of inner. Sub 2kg all in. Very happy with it. Not sure if your budget permits but if affordable, I have found nothing better.
Maybe not relevant but I have a few tents all for backpacking. Tarptent hogback - circa 2kg used when 3 of us as a family go on a trip - the only light enough, big enough tent I could fine so imported it from the US. Xdome 2 for my kid and I - had it out a few times now. 2nd time out I managed to put my knee down on the bottom of the door while unzipping the fly (middle of the night pee and not careful enough) - zipper came clean off and the little bit of fabric above the zipper just ripped in two. Durston CS were good and shipped me a new fly at a discount very quickly but I feel, although it was my fault, it tore very easily. My 3rd tent is my Fjallraven Abisko Lite 3. About 50 nights in it now including high wind and heavy UK rain. It is a proper 4 season tent which the Xdome is not supposed to be. However, at 2kgs and easily sleeping2 wide mats, I trust it. It’s my go to tent and it’s so so stable in high wind. Never have to worry and I have not doubled poled it which it could do. I find tents have an unsaid trust score - my Fjallraven wind hands down. It’s not cheap and it’s a tunnel so not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s just solid. And light enough. Just my two cents worth.
I’d add the Fjallraven Abisko Lite - I have the 3 which sleeps 2 wide mats but there are smaller ones. It’s a cracking 4 season tent for just over 2kgs. I own an Xdome 2 and a Tarptent Hogback (for family backpacking) and the Abisko Lite is the one I reach for whenever I can…
For high quality without the Hilleberg price tag, check out the Fjallraven Abisko Lite 3. Under 2kg, can be double poled, decent size vestibule and 2 doors. 4 season. Been extremely happy with mine. Solid tent.
Highly recommend Fjalleraven Abisko Lite 3. Plenty of room for 2, quick to pitch, decent ventilation for summer but can handle UK winter.
I like the Fjallraven Abisko tunnel tents. My 4p is decidedly higher quality than the Nemo Dragonfly 2p I use for bicycle trekking with my son. Horses for courses of course. If camping in summer in no wind, you’d not want too much tent anyway.
