Easy to setup Quality and durability have never been an issue for me or people I know. I'm sure someone somewhere will be like "they are junk". Condensation control is going to depend on the weather as there is plenty of vents. Might be better off with 2 T4's from Gazelle.

We have a Gazelle T-Hex. Just wife and I. We like the single, large room so we can set our queen bed up and have ample room on 3 sides. Even room for the camp chairs inside if bad weather. It measures about 12' across and even more tied down. Never had a spot it didn't fit.

I would suggest two tents then. We have a massive Gazelle tent and it is geared for 4-8 people but if I had to share it, I would only say four people comfortably with our stuff inside the tent too. It sounds like you have a pop up tent too? These will always be long and bulky because of what they are. Our old tent was very compact when packed up but was not a pop up and took longer to set up. My husband hates the size and weight of the Gazelle but it is the trade off of ease of setting up/breaking down that he gets for it. I think your idea to go bigger to fit more people inside a tent is not ideal if you are already worried about the size of your current tent.

If packed up space and relatively large weight is not bad then consider a hub style tent. I like my Gazelle Overland edition. The doors are a little tricky getting in and out but in all other regards (setup and takedown) it seems like that would be a good fit.

Lol. No, we aren't bots. You'll see really positive reviews outside of reddit as well, including video reviews on YT. The biggest draw is the ease of set-up. It's so nice to have it up in literally 1-2 minutes. But also the height all throughout the tent makes for a wonderful camping experience. I actually enjoy hanging out in my tent. It also feels sturdier than most tents but would definitely need guy lines in windy conditions. The only problem I have with it is its size when packed up in its bag. It can be a pain if you don't have a truck or van to transport it. Not everyone likes the door but I have no issues with it.

We had a trunk tent for almost 2 years. The main thing we couldn't get over was the limited airflow. Ended up hardly ever using it attached the vehicle. Once it fell apart, we went with a pop up tent like a gazelle for ease of setup and best of all, not 4 sided. That way you can setup a table in the middle and still get around, or set up multiple tables on the walls with tons of room.

Honestly if you are planning having 4 people in a tent, then I would get a really good ground tent like a gazelle or something similar. You will be able to have a better mattress and it's just as easy to set up. Also, on the trips when it's just you I would get a second smaller tent for just you. Roof tents are cool but there is always a tradeoff. Ground tents are a fraction of the cost and allow more options.

I can only give my experience with my Gazelle. Overall it is great, and I've used it for over 40 nights over the past two years. I did have an issue with water seeping in during very heavy downpour. I'm taking several inches of rain in an hour downpour. It would soak in through the stitches around the hubs, and also where the interior mesh bags are on the sides. I put seam seal on all of these and it helped a lot - instead of a drip it just gets slightly damp to the touch. No issues with seams around the zippers at all. I would buy it again. Oh, and I ditched the stakes that came with it and instead use heavy, all metal spike stakes. You have to make sure to guy out the hubs in strong winds, and the more horizontal the guy line can be the better, or else wind can collapse the hub. I'm taking 15-20mph plus wind. Was in 30-40mph gusts and it held up, but I'd guyed out the hub the direction the wind was coming from with two guy lines, each as horizontal as I could get them, 45 degrees from each other.

I have a gazelle - great tent - super easy setup and it’s tall enough to stand in. Downside it’s heavy and big. Like the size of a small person in the bag. And I think it weighs maybe 30 some pounds. Like any tent you have to make sure it’s dry before putting it away etc. I also don’t like the fact that the floor is velcro-ed on. I haven’t had any issues but it seems strange. I’ve also had a sundome - it’s light packs small mine was a 3 person so it’s short and tight inside. Takes time to set up as with the poles etc. Some of the taller domes a shorter person would struggle to get the fly on. I’m 5’4 and have to keep that in mind if I plan to put them up alone. I have a tensleep I love - but it’s essentially a dome and a super large fly — hard to set up in the wind.

If you can spend a little bit more and don't mind a little bit bigger when packed away, Gazelle tents are great. I love mine. I know it's way too big for a single person, but I like to have the room and be able to stand or sit in it with a chair shoud it be raining, all while having my pad and bags in there. And if I go somewhere i can stick my bike inside it so it's out of site. SUPER easy to set up. I also have a small 2P bikepacking tent for tight areas or when I don't want to take the big ol tent.

Easily fits my six foot husband who can stand up in this tent without stooping, our yellow lab, her bed, our air mattresses and room to spare. Such a great tent. Fortunate to have purchased new when they weren’t quite so pricey, but truth be told, I’d pay up for one now for the same tent. We use it about 3 times a season for week long trips. A very big 👍🏼

If you have kids or camp with a dog and have space to store it, the Gazelle tent was a game changer for me. I can set up my tent in a minute flat. The floor is replaceable if it ever gets damaged and you can stand in it. The downside, its heavy and does not pack down small. The positives: no poles are required, sets up and takes down fast, lots of space and windows, very durable. I had mine up in gusting winds and it withstood the elements

Those huge 10 person tents are less durable, giant windsails, and are a pain in the culo to set up. I finally sold my cousin one of my old Gazelles because he kept bringing one of those big box mega tents on dispersed weekenders and needing help to set it up for like 10 minutes. The first time he brought that Gazelle out he was like, "Okay. Thanks." Unless you're at a campground with multiple snotnosers running around, I would not recommend one. Get a quality 4-6 person, 3 season vented Kelty/Nemo/Big Agnes/Gazelle, throw your mattress down, and you'll be loving life.

I loved my ez up but the canopies would always break. Not very good in wind. One night had a really windy night and the canopy broke and stabbed the tent. Was the end of that.Great for a summer tent and good weather but i don't think id buy one again. I have a Gazelle now very good. Easy set up and can handle pretty much any weather. They are going for 400 not bad. Think im on my fourth year with it. I camp maybe 3-4 times a year. Early spring summer fall.

Gazelle is an easy recommendation, most usable space for any tent design and it can handle tall people. Downside is that when packed it's fairly long. Depending on the size of your car, it might not fit in there. I have an SUV and will fold down a seat for it.

Pretty much the walls are solid with limited mesh in the windows/doors, the roof is mesh but there's the rainfly that protest that. So if it's heavy rain, you do have to ensure your windows and doors are zipped fully to prevent water from intruding.

Gazelles are super fast to setup and offer the best head height. But for a tent that caters to taller folks, the door sucks for taller folks... at 6'1" i'm always tripping getting in and out of it. That Fanttik tent looks interesting in that regards. Setup does require you to "pop" the ceiling up, not sure if your rotator cuff issue will prevent you from doing that. And it's a pretty big tent packed, since you mention limited storage space.

A majority of these hub tents come from the same factory with some design specs changed. A lot of the material is some variation of the other. As far as SP goes, its price is all marketing. Anything designed remotely near it at a cheaper price point is probably a better deal. I've ran an XL, III, and a Mini and as a someone previously replied they hold moisture even with the flaps open. The silver exterior will wear and you'll soon have moisture ingress. The newer bags are thicker but I tore through them on their 3rd use. I also run a Gazelle but haven't put it through its paces yet. The SP were good in winter camp because they did hold heat really well.

I have a Gazelle. It's a nice style, easy to put up. But it is HUGE when folded down for storage transport. You need to have a large SUV or a roof rack to transport this thing. Also mine had a bunch of needle holes that I needed to seal. Also some loose stitching. Not very well made for roughly $400 in cost. but, there aren't a lot of other "stand inside" for the average height person. At 5'2" there may be some more options out there for you.
