"With little kids including a baby who doesn’t like to be put down, it’s a huge time saver!"
"The biggest draw is the ease of set-up. It's so nice to have it up in literally 1-2 minutes."
"It takes like 45s to set up."

"The footprint of the floor is a square for the T4 hub tent, so you should find the available space easy to work with, even with mattress. ... We have the T4 plus, which is just two squares with a room divider. We use cots and there is room for 5 and the dogs."
"not 4 sided. That way you can setup a table in the middle and still get around, or set up multiple tables on the walls with tons of room."
"I like to have the room and be able to stand or sit in it with a chair shoud it be raining, all while having my pad and bags in there."

"We’ve had ours for going on 4 plus years I think… ... Been great in numerous types of weather."
"You have to make sure to guy out the hubs in strong winds, and the more horizontal the guy line can be the better, or else wind can collapse the hub. ... I'm taking 15-20mph plus wind. Was in 30-40mph gusts and it held up, but I'd guyed out the hub the direction the wind was coming from with two guy lines, each as horizontal as I could get them, 45 degrees from each other."
"Never had an issue when it went through a severe windy thunderstorm when camping other years."

"I can tell you I just used a gazelle tent in Ottawa last week for six nights with tons of mosquitoes and biting horse flies and everything and not a single bug in my tent at all."
"Hahaha I have never experienced that. It’s a regular tent that is waterproof and rainproof, let alone bug proof."

"The only problem I have with it is its size when packed up in its bag. It can be a pain if you don't have a truck or van to transport it."
"Downside it’s heavy and big. ... Like the size of a small person in the bag. ... And I think it weighs maybe 30 some pounds."
"My husband hates the size and weight of the Gazelle"

"I did have an issue with water seeping in during very heavy downpour. I'm taking several inches of rain in an hour downpour. It would soak in through the stitches around the hubs, and also where the interior mesh bags are on the sides."

"the mesh is so tight that the ventilation is horrible in temps over 70."
"My beef with nearly all nylon tents is how they collect condensation. ... I’ve had 5 people and 2 dogs in the Gazelle. All of that breathing made the inside pretty wet."

Easy to setup Quality and durability have never been an issue for me or people I know. I'm sure someone somewhere will be like "they are junk". Condensation control is going to depend on the weather as there is plenty of vents. Might be better off with 2 T4's from Gazelle.
We have a Gazelle T-Hex. Just wife and I. We like the single, large room so we can set our queen bed up and have ample room on 3 sides. Even room for the camp chairs inside if bad weather. It measures about 12' across and even more tied down. Never had a spot it didn't fit.
We have the wawona 6 for our shorter, lighter trips and a gazelle t-hex overland tent for longer outings. Love both but the gazelle is the best, but it’s big packed down and requires roof mounting or a roof box with gear + people/dogs in the car. We car camp in a Rivian R1S for scale. The gazelles are like 70” long in the bag. But it’s the most amazing tents.
Only downside with those is the size when taken down. Not sure what kind of car OP has.
A few years ago Academy Sports decided to use that same pop out technology, and now I have 2 *basically* [Gazelle clones](https://i.imgur.com/eiUXlrM.jpeg) that I paid less than $250 total. They are fking amazing tents. The blue one is my favorite. Butttttt Academy being Academy they never actually pushed it even though they are extremely awesome.
I've been considering a roof mount because mine make the bed a little awkward because I need to lay it diagonal.
If packed up space and relatively large weight is not bad then consider a hub style tent. I like my Gazelle Overland edition. The doors are a little tricky getting in and out but in all other regards (setup and takedown) it seems like that would be a good fit.
Bought mine from Amazon. Apparently the green color T4 and the blue overland are available at REI
Lol. No, we aren't bots. You'll see really positive reviews outside of reddit as well, including video reviews on YT. The biggest draw is the ease of set-up. It's so nice to have it up in literally 1-2 minutes. But also the height all throughout the tent makes for a wonderful camping experience. I actually enjoy hanging out in my tent. It also feels sturdier than most tents but would definitely need guy lines in windy conditions. The only problem I have with it is its size when packed up in its bag. It can be a pain if you don't have a truck or van to transport it. Not everyone likes the door but I have no issues with it.
We have a two Gazelle tents (one one-room and one two-room) and their gazebo. They are a breeze to set up and definitely not a gimmick!
I would suggest two tents then. We have a massive Gazelle tent and it is geared for 4-8 people but if I had to share it, I would only say four people comfortably with our stuff inside the tent too. It sounds like you have a pop up tent too? These will always be long and bulky because of what they are. Our old tent was very compact when packed up but was not a pop up and took longer to set up. My husband hates the size and weight of the Gazelle but it is the trade off of ease of setting up/breaking down that he gets for it. I think your idea to go bigger to fit more people inside a tent is not ideal if you are already worried about the size of your current tent.
Do you have any other requirements, and how will this be used? If you're mostly overlanding or car camping, the best value for the money is a Gazzel Hub tent, but there are downsides, like its weight and size. But I love the fact that I can order replacement parts, including the detachable floor panel.
Honestly if you are planning having 4 people in a tent, then I would get a really good ground tent like a gazelle or something similar. You will be able to have a better mattress and it's just as easy to set up. Also, on the trips when it's just you I would get a second smaller tent for just you. Roof tents are cool but there is always a tradeoff. Ground tents are a fraction of the cost and allow more options.
It all depends on how you will use it (do you want to be able to stand up in it to change clothes, how much gear will you have in the tent with you, how many will sleep in it, etc), when (what season) you will use it? For exampl, I have a 2p dome tent for my motorcycle camping. I have a 4p Hub tent for my car camping. They are completely different styles for two completely different needs. So, really more info is needed to help guide you. How many people, do you want to stand, will you be in rainy weather, cold weather, what will be your sleeping pad/mattress and what is your budget? Edit: for almost $400, I would suggest the Gazelle Hub tent (what I have) its hands down the best tent I have ever used. However, it does not pack down small, so you need a larger vehicle to transport it. But if you are considering a roof top tent, then you prob have a large vehicle.
