"Durability - have had 0 issues. 2 years, quit a bit of camping in hot and cold (well, down to 30)."

"the packed size, it's fkn big ... You really need to be sure you can fit it in your car or be prepared to strap it to the top. ... When I had a Jeep, it BARELY fit! Bottom right corner. When I shut the tailgate, it would nudge it and that was having to move the passenger seat up as far as I could and still be able to sit in the seat."
"It's about the size of 12 by 12 popup shelter folded up."
"The biggest problem with it is that it’s huge when it’s broken down you basically need to put it on your roof rack."

"You have to make sure to guy out the hubs in strong winds, and the more horizontal the guy line can be the better, or else wind can collapse the hub. I'm taking 15-20mph plus wind. Was in 30-40mph gusts and it held up, but I'd guyed out the hub the direction the wind was coming from with two guy lines, each as horizontal as I could get them, 45 degrees from each other."
"Another concern is high winds. I have used it in steady winds up to 25 mph with higher gusts, but I had to tie out the hubs with guy lines, using two lines per hub to give better holding power, and also I swapped out the stakes to more heavy duty all metal spikes which I bring a hammer to hammer into the ground."
"Also wind is an issue, I'm talking about 20+ mph winds - the hub will collapse in fairly easily if not guyed out. ... When I guy it out well, the tent hub hasn't collapsed in 30+ mph winds."

"I had a Coleman instant tent for 13 years with no leaks. One trip to the same campground with the T4, leak, and bugs. It made me sad. ... Yep, it leaked for me the first time I used it. Colorado mtn storms can be crazy, but short."
"also, it does not hold up well in down pours, water seeps in through the seems"
"Only issue I had was one night when we got over 2 inches of rain. The rain started to seep through the stitching at the hubs."

"the door is a trip hazard"
"But for a tent that caters to taller folks, the door sucks for taller folks... at 6'1" i'm always tripping getting in and out of it."
"My biggest gripe is definitely the door. ... I’m constantly making sure I’m lifting up my feet so I don’t trip."

I got a big tent and I love it so much. It's more about the height than the width though. I'm 6'3 and can stand up in it. Such a breeze to put up too. 4 person Gazelle HUB tent.
I have a gazelle - great tent - super easy setup and it’s tall enough to stand in. Downside it’s heavy and big. Like the size of a small person in the bag. And I think it weighs maybe 30 some pounds. Like any tent you have to make sure it’s dry before putting it away etc. I also don’t like the fact that the floor is velcro-ed on. I haven’t had any issues but it seems strange. I’ve also had a sundome - it’s light packs small mine was a 3 person so it’s short and tight inside. Takes time to set up as with the poles etc. Some of the taller domes a shorter person would struggle to get the fly on. I’m 5’4 and have to keep that in mind if I plan to put them up alone. I have a tensleep I love - but it’s essentially a dome and a super large fly — hard to set up in the wind.
Gazelle is amazing! But. It’s very heavy and long so you need a truck or big car to travel with it. It’s over 5 ft in the bag. And not so good in heavy wind and heat. The mesh is very small and not very good air flow. I have both the t4 and small gazebo. The gazebo is about 10 degrees warmer inside it than out because it blocks the air so wonderful fall / spring camping. Not so good in Kansas in August.
We have a 4p gazelle. It fits a queen size cot 285) about 18 inches of space on 3 sides. It’s so easy to set up! But heavy! And big! Now to also doesn’t have good ventilation for hot summer camping. The mesh is so thin it doesn’t allow for the breeze to flow through. However with a couple of usb fans it was doable on a 100+ degree camping trip in Kansas. Anyways the gazelle saved my relationship with the ease of camping setup!
Have a Gazelle T4 Hub Overland and love it.
In my 60s and car camp. Here’s what I use: Tent - Gazelle T4, plenty of room, can stand up, easy setup and take down. Use a Harbor Freight moving blanket on the tent floor for additional insulation. Chair - Eno Lounger which I use inside the tent and a cheap folding chair for outside. Sleep System - Coleman Trailhead cot, Exped Megamat ($$ but extremely comfortable), Sea to Summit Basecamp bag. Pillow - Nemo Fillo Pillow (fits in sleeping bag hood during colder weather, inflatable so you can adjust firmness, foam and air construction that is very comfortable)
I have one, maybe an older model because it’s a different pattern. I haven’t had the leaky rain fly as others mentioned, even in some pretty heavy rains. It doesn’t pack up small at all though. I haven to put a seat down in my Outback to fit it in the trunk. I’ve considered strapping it to the roof rack to save room. My wife and I love it though. So easy to put up and take down. The floor and the walls didn’t have condensation all over like cheaper tents. Having windows on all four walls is my favorite to appease my anxiety, no blind spots. Just don’t expect to hike in very far with it. It is long and heavy.
If you get the T4+ that has the front porch you get a better coverage fly. I too wish they made something similar for the basic T4.

Check your cot dimensions. I have the T4, it fits my normal cot but my son’s XL one has to go in at an angle. Personally for 3 people and a dog I would want something bigger. You can have the kids sleep with their legs under the cot, a path to one side since the T4 doesn’t have a central door. I have a 6P REI Kingdom, a much older model, and that one worked great for more people. Gazelle does have some longer ones with an extra room that might also work, but they are spendy.
Absolutely the Gazelle T4. It honestly changed camping for me. I'm always excited to get out and use it, and it's a tent I enjoy being in with its many windows and open view of the stars (without the rainfly). It literally goes up within 2 minutes (without the rainfly); you just walk around and pop each side out. And a 6ft person can easily walk around inside of it, fully standing. The material is tough. The only drawback is that it is larger than most tents when packed up. Note: I have not tried it in the rain. Use the guy lines for windy nights.
Good to know! I've seen mixed reviews around this, but it seems that any leaking into the tent isn't extreme.
Bought mine from Amazon. Apparently the green color T4 and the blue overland are available at REI
Lol. No, we aren't bots. You'll see really positive reviews outside of reddit as well, including video reviews on YT. The biggest draw is the ease of set-up. It's so nice to have it up in literally 1-2 minutes. But also the height all throughout the tent makes for a wonderful camping experience. I actually enjoy hanging out in my tent. It also feels sturdier than most tents but would definitely need guy lines in windy conditions. The only problem I have with it is its size when packed up in its bag. It can be a pain if you don't have a truck or van to transport it. Not everyone likes the door but I have no issues with it.

You know you don't have to remove the floor...Keep it velcro-ed and wipe out the floor just like any other. I've never had a problem with bugs getting into my tent. I stayed at an ant-infested site in Tahoe with ants crawling all around the outside of my tent with a single ant getting in (probably hitched a ride in from my pant leg). I'd take this over the dozens of other less comfortable tents out there in the same price range that have me crawling around on my hands and knees, worming into clothes while laying down and sorting out poles through 20+ minutes of set-up. No, the gazelle is absolutely worth whatever imagined struggle comes with a removable floor. I wouldn't recommend the door entrance for older individuals, but then, I know some older individuals that love this tent for its easy set-up and take down (who say it gives them a chance to tent camp again at their age). There's a reason so many people rave about it. And with good things come people that want to be different and critique them.
It's an awesome tent, honestly. I love whenever I get a chance to use it. There are dozens more glowing posts and comments about this tent on this subreddit than these occasional negative ones... With the ability to set it up in under 2 minutes (excluding rainfly and stakes), the freedom to stand up completely in it, numerous windows, and good quality material, I don't see how anyone could hate it as much as OP does here. Not a very fair review.
Strange to hear that you had puddles on the floor of your tent after so many others have had zero problems with it in extreme rain and wind. Might you have accidentally cut a hole in the tent? Did you have the rainfly on and the windows up?
Well, for one your attitude isn't pleasant. And as many people here have stated, they've had absolutely zero issues with this tent (that rings true for me as well). Similar to the experience of others in this thread, this has well-surpassed the Coleman tents that we've virtually all tried in the past. My Gazelle made me enjoy camping again. So a review like this is entirely unbalanced with your assertions that it is just pure trash. I've had mine for three years now and the only complaint I have about it is it's size when packaged up. Even the less obvious door makes me feel safer at night from predatory humans. I have no idea what you did to get bugs all over your bed. Maybe shake yourself off before going into your tent at night. Check your shoes and legs for any insects crawling up your leg (it happens). Check the items that you're moving into your tent at the end of the night. Did your camping gear get bugs in it when stored away in the garage? Water in your bed sounds an exaggeration given your above admission, "there were no puddles". Either it's dripping enough to give rise to puddles (including water collecting and absorbing into your bed) or it is not. Was it a bug infestation or was it a single bug you found that could plausibly have hitched a ride in on your back? My impression is that you're just freaking yourself out and over-exaggerating every little thing. Perhaps current times just have you more anxiety-prone than in the past.
You asked why everyone here was so “heated”. So no, you know it’s not just me perceiving you as off.
I have this one and the double. We have had no issues of leaking in the rain/thunderstorm. I never noticed any more bugs than we had in other tents. We love them due to the ease of putting up and taking down!

We have a two Gazelle tents (one one-room and one two-room) and their gazebo. They are a breeze to set up and definitely not a gimmick!
I have a T4, T4+, and gazebo. We love them. They are huge and heavy which is not ideal when it comes to packing up all three for a camping trip. But we do love the easy set up and take down. We have not really gotten rain when we camp. The one or two times, it has been completely dry (besides some condensation on the floor but that goes for any tent).

I would suggest two tents then. We have a massive Gazelle tent and it is geared for 4-8 people but if I had to share it, I would only say four people comfortably with our stuff inside the tent too. It sounds like you have a pop up tent too? These will always be long and bulky because of what they are. Our old tent was very compact when packed up but was not a pop up and took longer to set up. My husband hates the size and weight of the Gazelle but it is the trade off of ease of setting up/breaking down that he gets for it. I think your idea to go bigger to fit more people inside a tent is not ideal if you are already worried about the size of your current tent.
I have the orange version, used in Vermont last fall, pouring rain all night, I was completely dry inside. https://preview.redd.it/dfrt3wgyuaoe1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02a5cb29f15c968124d0e921bc68398125ddc0be
I have a Gazelle T4 and love being able to stand inside and how quickly it sets up. I strongly dislike the doors, it takes concentration to get in and out without tripping over the odd triangle shape. Might be an issue with the dogs. https://preview.redd.it/vowp76bbjccf1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5690cefb7ff2130123540cb3592f41be47e5ae22
I have a T4, it's great to be able to stand inside it. My only dislike is the triangle doors, I have to be very mindful walking in and out.
Only downside with those is the size when taken down. Not sure what kind of car OP has.
A few years ago Academy Sports decided to use that same pop out technology, and now I have 2 *basically* [Gazelle clones](https://i.imgur.com/eiUXlrM.jpeg) that I paid less than $250 total. They are fking amazing tents. The blue one is my favorite. Butttttt Academy being Academy they never actually pushed it even though they are extremely awesome.
I've been considering a roof mount because mine make the bed a little awkward because I need to lay it diagonal.
I have a knock off. It's awesome. I can't imagine how much I would love a T4.
It's worked for me. I can see the door design being a pain for people. It has kept out light rain and dew. As far as bugs....you're camping. I would just work my way around the perimeter of the tent and make sure that the velcro is seated together.
