"The footprint of the floor is a square for the T4 hub tent, so you should find the available space easy to work with, even with mattress. ... We have the T4 plus, which is just two squares with a room divider. We use cots and there is room for 5 and the dogs."
"Gazelle would be exactly what you're looking for. ... I have the T4 and absolutely love it."
"not 4 sided. That way you can setup a table in the middle and still get around, or set up multiple tables on the walls with tons of room."

"With little kids including a baby who doesn’t like to be put down, it’s a huge time saver!"
"I use a Gazelle T4 because it really does set up in one minute."

"I've had mine for 8 to 10 years now. ... Probably my best camping investment. ... I've used it over a hundred nights at this point."
"Durability - have had 0 issues. 2 years, quit a bit of camping in hot and cold (well, down to 30)."
"I have been in severe thunderstorms in the Outer Banks of NC and snow storms in Utah in the T4. The tent has always kept us safe, comfortable, and dry."

"I can tell you I just used a gazelle tent in Ottawa last week for six nights with tons of mosquitoes and biting horse flies and everything and not a single bug in my tent at all."
"I haven't had issues with bugs, I make sure the floor is attached well with the velcro."
"Hahaha I have never experienced that. It’s a regular tent that is waterproof and rainproof, let alone bug proof."

"I haven't had a leak yet. ... I've had it in some nasty high Sierra weather and it held up well."
"Several times under heavy Rain and was great"
"it's held up amazingly, even in significant rain storms. ... I've had it in 1 moderate rain storm, two heavy rain storms, and one absolutely crazy, 6-hour thunderstorm downpour. ... In both the heavy storms friends in other, well regarded, tent brands had leakage, and we had none. ... In the thunderstorm, we had some leaking through the zipper of the door we weren't using. The next morning I discovered that one of the zipper flaps had gotten stuck folded all the way up, leaving that zipper completely unprotected. I'm sure if I'd thought about checking it, we'd have been able to solve that problem and eliminate the leaking."

"the packed size, it's fkn big ... You really need to be sure you can fit it in your car or be prepared to strap it to the top. ... When I had a Jeep, it BARELY fit! Bottom right corner. When I shut the tailgate, it would nudge it and that was having to move the passenger seat up as far as I could and still be able to sit in the seat."
"It's about the size of 12 by 12 popup shelter folded up."
"The biggest problem with it is that it’s huge when it’s broken down you basically need to put it on your roof rack."

"You have to make sure to guy out the hubs in strong winds, and the more horizontal the guy line can be the better, or else wind can collapse the hub. I'm taking 15-20mph plus wind. Was in 30-40mph gusts and it held up, but I'd guyed out the hub the direction the wind was coming from with two guy lines, each as horizontal as I could get them, 45 degrees from each other."
"Another concern is high winds. I have used it in steady winds up to 25 mph with higher gusts, but I had to tie out the hubs with guy lines, using two lines per hub to give better holding power, and also I swapped out the stakes to more heavy duty all metal spikes which I bring a hammer to hammer into the ground."
"Also wind is an issue, I'm talking about 20+ mph winds - the hub will collapse in fairly easily if not guyed out. ... When I guy it out well, the tent hub hasn't collapsed in 30+ mph winds."

"the mesh is so tight that the ventilation is horrible in temps over 70."

"Only issue I had was one night when we got over 2 inches of rain. The rain started to seep through the stitching at the hubs."
"I did have an issue with water seeping in during very heavy downpour. I'm taking several inches of rain in an hour downpour. It would soak in through the stitches around the hubs, and also where the interior mesh bags are on the sides."
"First, in super heavy downpour (more than an inch per hour) it would soak through around the hubs and also where the mesh bags are sewn into the sides. ... The first time there was a dribble of water from the hub seams I had to sop up with an extra t-shirt. After seam seaming it was damp to the touch but not dripping."

"the door is a trip hazard"
"But for a tent that caters to taller folks, the door sucks for taller folks... at 6'1" i'm always tripping getting in and out of it."
"My only gripe is that I will bust my butt on the triangle doors EVERY SINGLE TIME."
Gazelle T4 Tandem Hub tents would be perfect. Five minute set up and plenty of room. I (64M) have had one for two years and love it. They are not cheap but you will have it for a long time.
Gazelle is the one. Large and sets up in 15 minutes. https://preview.redd.it/x5h79qf002re1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77d83ca3decb72939901bb9e09330e6bb5d9a00a
Gazelle T4 Hub Tent for the win. I have used this tent in torrential rain with heavy wind and it did not have a drop of water in it ever. Easy to set up and take down. Just make sure to tie and stake everything according to directions. They are not cheap but worth every penny if you want something that will last.
Ive got a T4 tandem overland edition and I’ve NEVER loved a tent like I do this one. I’ve camped in non stop downpours and it’s never leaked on me. So much space and I can stand up anywhere in that thing. Never had a problem with winds so can’t say too much about that aspect. Easy to put up/teardown and the bag is oversized so I’m not wrestling with it to try to pack back in. Seriously if and when this thing goes I’m buying another.
I second the Gazelle. I have the two room model and love it. Only complaint is it's tough to put up in sustained winds. It tends to collapse on itself before it's staked in.
I have this one and the double. We have had no issues of leaking in the rain/thunderstorm. I never noticed any more bugs than we had in other tents. We love them due to the ease of putting up and taking down!
We have a two Gazelle tents (one one-room and one two-room) and their gazebo. They are a breeze to set up and definitely not a gimmick!
I have a T4, T4+, and gazebo. We love them. They are huge and heavy which is not ideal when it comes to packing up all three for a camping trip. But we do love the easy set up and take down. We have not really gotten rain when we camp. The one or two times, it has been completely dry (besides some condensation on the floor but that goes for any tent).
I would suggest two tents then. We have a massive Gazelle tent and it is geared for 4-8 people but if I had to share it, I would only say four people comfortably with our stuff inside the tent too. It sounds like you have a pop up tent too? These will always be long and bulky because of what they are. Our old tent was very compact when packed up but was not a pop up and took longer to set up. My husband hates the size and weight of the Gazelle but it is the trade off of ease of setting up/breaking down that he gets for it. I think your idea to go bigger to fit more people inside a tent is not ideal if you are already worried about the size of your current tent.
Gazelle is a good choice and the 6p (the 4p is barely adequate for 1 with a cot and gear because of the lack of straight walls) is probably better but don't know if this meets your budget. Plus, it's folded size is HUGE, You need a truck or sizeable SUV to fit it. It stands at about 5 feet tall when folded down. There have been complaints about ventilation. Their mesh windows are so fine that they don't allow a lot of air flow. As well, the door is oddly positioned and if you have little ones in and out, it could be awkward. You can look at some good Coleman easy up tents that could serve you well.

Easy to setup Quality and durability have never been an issue for me or people I know. I'm sure someone somewhere will be like "they are junk". Condensation control is going to depend on the weather as there is plenty of vents. Might be better off with 2 T4's from Gazelle.
I'm only one season and 3 uses in but, so far my T4 has been great. Only real downside is it's bulk. It's long and heavy. But it's a castle of a tent.
Got this tent a as a gift years ago very durable and amazing to set up and tear down. Always catches people's attention how quick you set it up.
Gazelle T4, North Face Wawona or Big Agness Big House. Agree the T4 is a bear to.load and carry. We use our Wawona a ton once we learned how to set it up hahaha
I have a Gazelle T4. Fits diagonal easily in the bed of my Nissan Frontier. Sets up so fast.
15mins! WTF?! Although I don't have the porch like you, just the T4, I can get mine done in less than 3min total, by myself.
Love mine. Only one gripe, the doors have a combo problem that's lethal for a 6'3" drunk: high step-thru and simultaneously you have to duck a little.
