"Never had a tent I could stand up straight in before!"

"I like to have the room and be able to stand or sit in it with a chair shoud it be raining, all while having my pad and bags in there."

"lots of height for getting in and out ... can't be bothered to be crawling in and out of tents on my hands and knees when I have to take a leak in the middle of the night"

"We’ve had ours for going on 4 plus years I think… ... Been great in numerous types of weather."

"You have to make sure to guy out the hubs in strong winds, and the more horizontal the guy line can be the better, or else wind can collapse the hub. ... I'm taking 15-20mph plus wind. Was in 30-40mph gusts and it held up, but I'd guyed out the hub the direction the wind was coming from with two guy lines, each as horizontal as I could get them, 45 degrees from each other."

"Never had an issue when it went through a severe windy thunderstorm when camping other years."

"Constantly leaks"

"2 out of 4 metal sheath ends for the rain fly poles went loose into the dirt."

"I did have an issue with water seeping in during very heavy downpour. I'm taking several inches of rain in an hour downpour. It would soak in through the stitches around the hubs, and also where the interior mesh bags are on the sides."

I have a Gazelle, but due to the sheer size and weight when packed, I don't use it as often.

We love our Gazelle gazebos. Don’t know about a firepit, but super easy to put up, plenty of room to stand, side panels that can be put up. The only downside is the weight. We have a five-sided and a six-sided depending on how many people we’re camping with. https://gazelletents.com/collections/6-sided-gazebos

Clam and Gazelle, among others, make pop-up hub style screen tents (gazebo) where you can be completely enclosed within a screen in the event bugs are going to bug you, especially biting bugs. Those can usually be purchased with separate side panels and some of them have side panels sewn in and zippered sides. Kind of allows for versatility where you can panel a specific side, multiple sides or all sides for wind/rain/sun. They setup and tear down fast and you can fully stand up in them.

Coleman Skydome 6 with full rain fly might be worth looking at. I hate my Gazelle screen tent. Constantly leaks, poor ventilation, and a pain to deal with due to large folded size.

Tried the Gazelle, liked it until I put it away on the first trip and 2 out of 4 metal sheath ends for the rain fly poles went loose into the dirt. Terrible quality for the price, went back to REI and got the Nemo Aurora.

Gazelles are great. They are heavy and large when packed, but worth the space if you're car camping. In high winds, guy out the sides or they will collapse. Mine has been good in rain when I thought it would surely leak.

r/campingDitching the RTT for the ground. For the wife and I the cons outweigh the pros. Now in the market for a good Hub tent, any recommendations? I’ve been looking at the Gazelle T4 or Roam Drifter.

Gazelle’s are good, but they weigh a freaking ton. Not sure of your reasons for ditching the RTT, but other than the weight, the biggest downside of the hub tents are the massive amount of room they eat up in your vehicle. They don’t park down like regular tents. I find myself running short on space when I use my gazelle.

My Gazelle was a game changer when I got it. It made camp setup so easy. It also made overlanding trips easier. We're usually in the desert so the wind was always an issue. With the Gazelle id setup with the fly off the to watch the stars at night. Having the solid walls made it so much more comfortable.

yeah, just go with a Gazelle. if you didn’t care about bulk i’d recommend a Snow Peak but they aren’t necessarily easy to setup.

I have a gazelle tent which is bulky but also nice. I have also looked at the 10x10 ez up canopy tents with side walls or inserts. I know they make some that are 10x15 or 10x20 with side walls. May not be as fully enclosed as some other tents, but gives you plenty of room.
