Wawona 6
Spacious vestibule, strong in storms, but rainfly tricky solo.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
>Doesn't exist. Pyramid tents exist. HMG Ultamid 2 weighs 19 oz, although that weight does not include the center pole (which can be two ski or trekking poles lashed together) and stakes (which it needs minimum 4 of, and MSR Blizzard is 3.5 oz for 4).
Yep! All of the ones listed! I'd recommend any of them. That said - I don't know your budget or timeline - but the [Hyperlite Mountain Gear UltaMid 2](https://www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=cl&mi=13582&pw=180150&ctc=xid:fr1758826116172jeb&url=https%3A%2F%2Fhyperlitemountaingear.com%2Fproducts%2Fultamid-2-ultralight-pyramid-tent) is by far the most weather-worthy tent I've ever used. You get what you pay for, though, and that's a $700 tent that's likely subject to import fees.
>I don't know of any single-pole design that would perform better MLD Solomid/Duomid/Supermid HMG Ultamid 1/2/4 Locus Gear Khufu/Khafra Black Diamond Megalight Oware Pyramid Basically any single pole traditional mid with steep sides will do better with snow loading than the two pole and asymmetrical mids.
I'm 6'3" and use an HMG ultamid 2. Plenty of room and I can kind of stand in it. More of a hunches squat but way easier to put on pants than most tents
Feel free to ask me about any of the pyramids you look into, I’ve done quite a bit of research on them. Have the seek outside Cimarron with a stove jack for winter, and the Slingfin Cinder Cone for summer. I took a Hyperlite Ultamid 2 down the Mississippi. So I’ve set them up on rock, sand, gravel, mud, whatever.
My husband and I like the Hyperlite Mid 2 for backpacking; the REI Half Dome 2+ for car camping.
