iKamper - BDV Solo

I’ve been using an iKamper BDV Solo for a while now and recently got a Naturnest Polaris Plus. So far, both have handled rainy conditions pretty well with no leaks or issues. iKamper really stands out in terms of overall build quality and the way everything just feels refined and well thought out. Setup is smooth, and it’s held up great in some rough conditions. And I have to say, the Naturnest is quite a bit cheaper and almost half the price of the iKamper, which caught my attention. That said, I’ve only had the Naturnest for a short time, so I’m still keeping an eye on how it holds up over the long run. But for now, it’s been a solid option.

I second iKamper. Also, get a diesel heater if you need to. Tons of options out there and make the tent 70+ degrees in zero temps.

Nice looking tent. I had the ikamper but found it too small length wise for me (6’2”). This looks like it would be better though, if you’re a similar height how do you find the length?

Appreciate it and good to know. I was able to angle in the ikamper when it’s just me but not ideal. I’d love to get a GFC but can’t stomach the 10 grand price tag!!

I’ve been down this path. Find one that has enough room to keep your bedding in it. And not one you have to climb on top of to close and smash down. I had the Ikamper and it worked great,, although I don’t really use it a more because on my jeep I prefer to keep my center of gravity low. I’ll use it for overlanding trails. But not for any rates trails over 6

When you say four people we need to know the ages and size of them. I weigh 280 pounds, my wife is 220, we can share the tent with my 11 year old daughter, our 15 year old son can’t fit with us. If they were both under 10 years old and my wife were 50 pounds smaller the four of us could fit up there. We have an iKamper and it will be the best quality of any of the tents you mentioned. The comfort sleep system will also be the most comfortable, though it will fit in tents from other manufacturers.
