My absolute favorite tent is an old Kelty dome tent I've had for over 20 years. I also have a kelty 6 wireless that has lots of room, including standing room. It's just a pain to set up by myself. The other tent I use is a gazelle T3. It's smaller than the Kelty 6, has standing room, and it's a breeze to set up. However, it is bulky and takes up a lot of room in my vehicle. All have been great in snow and rain. No leaks at all. https://preview.redd.it/zzg1zfqnmzyg1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=daff3511e86f2f5df06803d888b00e6869a13d19
That's kind of how I feel about my Kelty Wireless 6. I can set it up in 15-20 minutes. It would be easier with 2 people. I would prefer something that packs down to 30ish" x 10ish" if possible.
Thanks! I certainly wish you well during your cancer treatment! I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and was in treatment for 5 years. I remember going solo camping in Yellowstone in between chemo treatments. I camp solo and I was bald and tired but I had a wonderful trip and I'll never forget it! I'm sending healing and positive vibes to you and I'm sure your next camping trip will be amazing!
If you’re on the hunt for a tent that can handle the rain without costing you a fortune, I’d definitely suggest the Kelty Wireless 6! It’s roomy, super easy to pitch, and the rainfly is surprisingly good at keeping you dry. But hey, if you’re still a little worried, maybe add some extra seam sealer. Oh, and don’t forget to use a ground tarp! Have a blast camping. For more cool options, i found [this one](https://travelanddiary.com/6-person-best-camping-tent/), might be helpful for you!
Really like our Kelty Wireless 6. Very easy 2 pole cross setup and roomy with front and rear vestibules and doors.
Check out Kelly. We really like the wireless 6, but sleeping 4 would be tight so see if they have anything bigger.
I use a kelty ome from 2020's don't remember the name. I cgecked the site and its not there anymore. But its high 6p. Maybe check it out they prolly renamed it
I got a 6 person tent for my birthday last year (Kelty brand- highly recommend) and I used it several times for myself and my dog! It was so nice to have enough space for my duffle and stuff to not be right next to my head while sleeping! Plus, I was able to dedicate a "dirty" corner for my dog to wipe her paws and stuff before climbing into bed. 😅 It was kind a challenge to put up myself, but I just worked patiently and took my time. It wasn't bad! And ya know, you might have good neighbors that lend a hand and you can repay them with borrowing them a can opener or something else they forgot! And you ALWAYS learn SOMETHING from each camping trip. I make a page in my camping journal specifically for writing down things I forgot or things that didn't go well. Helps me plan for next time. Best of luck to you! 🌲🐿🏕
