For wind, sturdy aluminum poles and the typical cross pole, dome design. A backpacking tent already has a lower profile. Non-backpacking I've used a 4 man Klymit Cross Canyon that's somewhat tall for a car camping tent. We were expecting a bad storm so I guyed out my tent with all 4 guy lines. No problems. Another camper got water in her tent when it collapsed on her. No guy lines and she didn't stake it down. Preparation during setup helps.
r/camping • Helping finding a tent! ->These were my exact ideas when I got the 2p and 4p versions of this tent. Loved them both. Just ordered a pair of these 🙂
r/CampingGear • Menards is almost giving away a decent tent for $34. Klymit Cross Canyon 3 ->I actually love this line of tents. I already own the 2p version AND the 4p version. I've used them both dozens of times and am a huge fan. I also already own (albeit by accident) a footprint for the 3p version. I just ordered TWO of these tents! OP, thank you for making this post! You made my day!
