We used our Kodiak as the hangout tent for our recent memorial day camping trip. First time trying it out, and we loved it. Kept our clothes in there and didn't worry when the weather turned since it's waterproof. Definitely going to use it again on our next outing.

Also love our Kodiak wall tent. Amazing for setting up for several days somewhere. Such a tank.

I have a 10x10 Kodiak and it’s a piece of cake to set up and I love it

Our 10x10 Kodiak Canvas tent has been the best tent we ever bought. Still just the 2 of us, but we throw a queen size cot and air mattress in it and still have room that we can move our camp chairs in it when it rains etc. At first I thought it would be annoying to setup and tear down. But after a few trips we can get it up in a couple minutes and tear down about the same. It's nice to be able to stand up fully as well. Only downside is they're pricey.

Living in Alberta you definitely need something that can handle a random June snowstorm or those nasty prairie winds. If you are already looking at the Kodiak 10x10 just pull the trigger. It is a total beast and the definition of buy once cry once. Unlike your old Coleman the steel poles on a Kodiak will not snap in a breeze and the canvas breathes so much better so you won't deal with that swampy condensation on humid nights. At 10x10 you still have over 6ft of headroom and plenty of floor space for a queen tall mattress plus your gear. The only downside is the weight and the pack size so make sure you have room in the truck. It will literally last you a decade if you dry it out properly before storage.

My Kodiak goes up in under 10 mins with one person what the living hell are you talking about??? Literally my non-canping wife has set it up alone for a girl's trip with zero issues

I have Kodiak canvas 10x10 perfect for 2 and a dog, I'd go bigger for more people Had it almost 10 years, probably 350 nights in it, besides being a little dirty on the roof, I plan on getting 10 more years from it. I also rock their sleeping bags and camp chairs, all VERY high quality, worth the spend, and mad comphy Get the tarp they sell to keep the crap off the top of your tent. I do not because I like to watch the birds walk on the roof in the am🤣 Maybe get a buddy heater for cold nights I would also buy a good screen room for the bugs and all

Get a big and small Kodiak. I've had my 10x10 for 7 years, got over 30 nights a year easy on it, never a leak, zippers all still like new. I'd invest in the new thing they have to go over the top to keep it clean. Get the sleeping bag too... AMAZING for truck camping, I LOVE mine!!!

I'd get a Kodiak canvas 10x10 tent. My favorite family tent. Right price, easy to transport and set up. For children it offers more comfort, sound proofing and good protection from the elements than nylon tents. Whether I was inside or outside my Kodiak, I would say " this is a great tent". lol

I loved my 10x10 Kodiak tent. Loved it. It is the perfect 3 season family tent. Perfect. Whenever I set up my Kodiak at campgrounds other campers would complement my camp or give dirty looks of envy. lol But the style of cabin tent isn't made for wilderness high winds and really rugged terrain camping. Also, the larger the cabin tent the more vulnerable it is to catching high winds like a kite. I had a single pole 12x12 Pyramid tent with 10oz canvas. In the high winds at my favorite campground on the windswept California coast, it performed really well. Its shape meant it stood strong against high winds and it was anchored to the ground by 16 points around the tent. It really kept bad weather out and I was completely relaxed in any weather. For Chile I suspect you need a wilderness tent to allow you to enjoy the comfort of a family tent in more extreme weather.
