I use a Kodiak. Use my ATV to haul it in, pretty bulky but bombproof.

My Kodiak tent feels like something I could live in long term for a year, winter through summer. I camped in it last year during a night where it rained 20mm with 70km/h wind and I woke up bone dry, and the awning even stayed up. I also have a small backpacking tent for when I'm camping somewhere I can't access with a vehicle.

Agree with canvas bell, but that they can and should spring for a better, more reputable, and waranteed brand. Never seen Vevor sold outside of Amazon, fwiw, but I happened upon one at a festival and didn't like the look of that "Oxford cloth". Probably user error, but it looked very slack in places and thin - flapping in the wind exactly the way a canvas tent shouldn't. White Duck, Kodiak, and Psyclone(Australian) are all great options in that price range for a 2-man, plus there'll be options for window count and removable floor. Psyclone has a roof pole that eliminates the need for the guyline at the door, blessedly - and these are all likely on Amazon as well, for free Prime shipping, obvs

I like my Kodiak but the brightness is an issue; is there any way to effectively control the light level? It's a real killer for trying to plan super late/sunrise adventures when you can't get back and rest well at dawn. (Inb4 eye mask)

True. After 10 years of music festivals and Outerbanks week long fishing trips, there is not much wear on the ol' Kodiak. It's definitely a car camping tent unless you love toting heavy packs.

I absolutely love my spring bar. Two adults one kid and a lab. The Kodiak is similar, I’ve been on a USA made kick for the last few years though. I’d personally figure with a 14 and 11 yo they get their own tents or share depending on their sex. Ours will be 8 next year and I’m wanting to have them in their own tent. Dog can sleep with whoever. He usually sleeps on a lees with the door partially open on the spring-bar. If you want everyone in one spot I’d probably look into a pole tent that works with a stove. And then cots as most don’t have floors. I have a few cots and as a tallish guy I like ones that don’t have a bar where my feet are, they are more like what soccer players get pulled of the field when they are hurt.
