"My tent has withstood it all, 70 mph desert winds (without a ripple), rain, snow and hail."
"I expect this tent will last another 10 or 20 years. ... I bet this tent would last 2 or 3 times as long as the Gazelle"
"Looks almost new 6 years later."

"My camp loves Kodiaks because they're so rugged ... Kodiaks will probably last twice as long though ... These tents are built to last and can handle any condition. ... it'll keep you warm, cool, dry, safe and happy under ALL conditions (on and off the desert)."
"Dry and warm when I was camping with 25° overnight lows and mixed precipitation."

"We've camped many nights comfortably in our 10x10 canvas tents with two adults and our daughter starting when she was a few weeks old (she's 3 now). Both of these tents offer plenty of space and excellent quality."
"It's like having a room."
"I’m 6’3” and can easily stand in it anywhere in the tent."

"They're durable. ... As long as you can commit to camping (burn + other weeks during the year), you will get that value back in spades. ... For comparison, I lost my great uncle to COVID-- he was a military vet who bought a milsurp canvas tent in 1963 and used it until the end of his life in 2020. ... the tent floor/groundcloth is not as durable as the Kodiaks. ... Springbar is a few mils thinner."
"Reasonably priced. ... $750 may seem like a lot until you compare it to hotel/motel rates. ... As long as you can commit to camping (burn + other weeks during the year), you will get that value back in spades. ... besides being cheaper Kodiak has the better tent. ... slightly lower price"
"They re durable canvas at a good price."

"I did duck under the awning. ... If you drop one awning pole so the foot of it sits near the center-front loop & tighten the rope, you can pull th awning roof taught at a slope which sheets the water away from the tent, while still providing shelter at the entrance."
"it is more of a sunshade than anything else and it collects water unless you put a pole under the middle. ... I use a 7' spear to keep water from collecting and keep it high enough to walk under."
