I bought a used Marmot Force 1p tent a couple years ago. I paid $100 for it and it looked to be in very good shape and the person selling hadn’t used it too much. After a couple of times using it I noticed the shock cord was worn out so reached out to Marmot to see about getting that fixed. They gave me $400 store credit to buy anything I wanted since they were no longer repairing that model. I fixed the shock cord myself for about $30. Good tent and a good company.
r/CampingGear • Worth it? Marmot Force UL 2P Tent used ->I own Kelty, North Face and Marmot backpacking tents, and can attest to their durability, ease of use and agreeable weight. I've used them both in the backcountry as well as when going car camping.
r/CampingGear • What brands or types of tents should I be looking to get? ->I'd add marmot to that list too for the 3-season and backup the canvas with stove for freezing weather.
