I have an awesome 10 year old Marmot Traillight that is perfect condition still despite loads of use and has served me well. I've never had a cheap tent last more than 2-3 years.

Marmot tents are a great buy. They’re not the lightest, but the bang-for-buck value is outstanding. I got a 2p on clearance for $125 back in 2010 and used it for 5+ years before upgrading it and using as a loaner tent.  If you’re actually backpacking, check the weights, as some are kinda heavy. Also note that some come with the footprint, so factor that into your weights, as well.

Go with the Marmot. I have the Marmot 2 person and am happy with it.

So two person backpacking tents are pretty snug for two people. I only use a 2p with another person if it’s my partner. That said, marmot tents are awesome and that’s a good price. I have a marmot 2p that’s over ten years old. Upgraded to an ultralight (not marmot) and my next tent will likely be another marmot

I own Kelty, North Face and Marmot backpacking tents, and can attest to their durability, ease of use and agreeable weight. I've used them both in the backcountry as well as when going car camping.

I'd add marmot to that list too for the 3-season and backup the canvas with stove for freezing weather.
