"If you get an MSR Hubba Hubba it can be easily big enough for 2 and your gear and sit outside the tent, but inside the fly."

"I love my hubba hubba. ... I’ve seen to many guys in these courses get a four season tent and then have condensation. You need a three season tent. ... Would recommend the ultralight."
"I camped for many years in the Pacific Northwest with a MSR hubba hubba and never got wet. ... There is no place on a properly tensioned hubba hubba that the fly touches the tent."
"perfectly dry in Hubba solo. Depends on how low I pull the outer tent"

"Same. Have hubba and hubba hubba. Both have been outstanding."

"The MSR Hubba Hubba I found really awesome for setting up fly-first. ... You can set up the fly without staking anything into the ground. Just stick the pole into one corner eyelet of the fly, bend it and stick it into the opposite corner. Attach it at the top in the center. Then do the other pole. Now you have a free-standing roof that took like 40 seconds to set up and you can crawl under to attach the inner tent. ... this one I found extremely quick and easy to set up in the rain. ... the original Hubba Hubba that I bought 15 years ago and used until maybe 5 or 6 years ago pitched fly-first without any hacks. It didn't even have to touch the ground. You could do it all in the air."
"Drizzle is fine, it only takes a minute to stake out the inner and secure the poles so it doesn't get too wet."

"But when it rains with a bit of wind, your feet and head get wet. ... It happens because no matter how you pitch it, the fly doesn't go to the ground at your head and feet. ... Rain hits inner, inner soaks through. ... The fly also touches the inner so it transfers moisture that way too. ... I got wet in the Hubba from consistent rain but it wasn't a storm or anything. It's just that the fly is that high up off the ground that the inner gets splashed, or if there's enough wind then the rain hits directly. It soaked my gear!"

"Hubba tent has a single top tube, this design is made to be lightweight but it cannot withstand wind."

"Hubba hubbas aren't particularly great once the wind gets up. ... The pole design just isn't up for it."

[https://cascadedesigns.com/collections/hubba-hubba-series-tents](https://cascadedesigns.com/collections/hubba-hubba-series-tents)I really love my MSR Hubba Hubba 3 person tent. I certainly wouldn't want to sleep with 3 people in it, but 2 is manageable. They're pricey, but indestructible. The rain fly design is super cool, you can setup just the poles and rain fly as a little makeshift shelter really fast without the tent under it. I've also found the REI brand tents to be very high quality for the price.
Started with an MSR Hubba NXT (1 person) and went with that till New York. Never let me down and I’m a fan of free standing. Came in handy a few times (one when I realised that sweet smell in the air was the privy. It was not sweet). Picked up the tent and moved it closer to ‘freshness’. Shipped it off in New York to my son who’d join me for the 100 mile wilderness. That saw me with the Big Agnes Tiger Wall 2 man tent. Similar weight to the NXT. LOADS of room. Loved it. Never let me down despite some real testing weather. And all but free standing 2. So add both these tents to your list. You’ll get many suggestions, and that’s because they worked for people. So many good tents out there.
I was lucky and found a hubba 1p on clearance for £100 at go outdoors. It’s a decent tent but there’s no way I would pay full price for it. I massively prefer my x-mid
Have a look at the MSR range, I LOVE my Hubba My Hubba is one person, you couldn't get two people in, it doesn't have the width or height, or volume to handle the moisture exhaled by two. The MSR Hubba Two person packed is 1.71 Kg, the one person 1.27 Kg Have a look at : [https://www.elitemountainsupplies.co.uk](https://www.elitemountainsupplies.co.uk)
I’ve owned the MSR Hubba Hubba 1 for about a year and like it
I actually think it is the whole tent and foot print, other photos don’t show the footprint separately and description is… Feature The MSR Hubba Hubba NX 1 Person Lightweight Backpacking Tent is made of 210T Waterproof Ripstop PU3000 fabric with a >3000mm waterproof index and UPF >50, ensuring durability and sun protection. Its double-layer design and 7.9mm high-strength aluminum alloy poles provide stability, while the easy-to-build structure and breathable yarn net doors enhance convenience and comfort. The tent's compact size and ultralight weight of 1.6kg make it ideal for solo outdoor adventures. I mean you might not get a tent… anything’s a possibility at that price
I think this one is actually a tent with everything include but looking at the reviews you might not get it fully stiched or might be missing the zip for the door and so on lol
Nope, perfectly dry in Hubba solo. Depends on how low I pull the outer tent
I've used the MSR Hubba 1-man for about a decade and it has held up quite well in all sort of conditions.
I have a Hubba and the ventilation with the fly on is fine (the fly has two velcro openings) , but somewhere like Scotland or Scandinavia (I live in Wales so similar climate) you simply won't avoid condensation if you are pitching on wet ground, particularly if there isn't much breeze. If the air is saturated with water it will always tend to condense on large surfaces like your rain fly.
If this is supposed to be an MSR hubba hubba I can assure you it's not. Those are brilliant tents and even the resale value is close to the original (£400~). My partner has one and it has been through a lot with barely a scratch on it. Would absolutely recommend the real deal. For £24 I would expect maybe a tent peg replacement set. They do have great pegs though
