[https://cascadedesigns.com/collections/hubba-hubba-series-tents](https://cascadedesigns.com/collections/hubba-hubba-series-tents)I really love my MSR Hubba Hubba 3 person tent. I certainly wouldn't want to sleep with 3 people in it, but 2 is manageable. They're pricey, but indestructible. The rain fly design is super cool, you can setup just the poles and rain fly as a little makeshift shelter really fast without the tent under it. I've also found the REI brand tents to be very high quality for the price.
I have a MSR HH NX1. I like that its size means that I can pitch it in tiny spaces. If it's not windy then if I can lie down in the space I can pitch. It's well built if the weather does get bad. I've looked at the X Mid but I really don't need the space. I don't cook or hang around inside my tent, it's just for sleeping. It does mean that my pack has to sit in the tiny vestibule and is often damp in the morning. The HH is also inner pitch first which bothers a lot of people. Personally I find that it goes up quickly enough to keep everything dry if it's raining. There is a large gap between the ground and the bottom of the fly which can let the wind through and there's no adjustment. With a trekking pole tent you can lower the poles. If build quality, stealth and being able to pitch in small spaces are important the NX1 is a good choice.
I was lucky and found a hubba 1p on clearance for £100 at go outdoors. It’s a decent tent but there’s no way I would pay full price for it. I massively prefer my x-mid
I have an elixir 2 and hubba nx 1 and rarely use them. Subpar tents where you’re paying for the brand name. I have a xmid 1 solid which I much prefer but it’s by no means a 4 season tent. Maybe look at the new Fjern Stormgrotta when it’s back in stock. It looks like it can take a beating and you can’t beat it for £160.
Have a look at the MSR range, I LOVE my Hubba My Hubba is one person, you couldn't get two people in, it doesn't have the width or height, or volume to handle the moisture exhaled by two. The MSR Hubba Two person packed is 1.71 Kg, the one person 1.27 Kg Have a look at : [https://www.elitemountainsupplies.co.uk](https://www.elitemountainsupplies.co.uk)
I’ve owned the MSR Hubba Hubba 1 for about a year and like it
I actually think it is the whole tent and foot print, other photos don’t show the footprint separately and description is… Feature The MSR Hubba Hubba NX 1 Person Lightweight Backpacking Tent is made of 210T Waterproof Ripstop PU3000 fabric with a >3000mm waterproof index and UPF >50, ensuring durability and sun protection. Its double-layer design and 7.9mm high-strength aluminum alloy poles provide stability, while the easy-to-build structure and breathable yarn net doors enhance convenience and comfort. The tent's compact size and ultralight weight of 1.6kg make it ideal for solo outdoor adventures. I mean you might not get a tent… anything’s a possibility at that price
I think this one is actually a tent with everything include but looking at the reviews you might not get it fully stiched or might be missing the zip for the door and so on lol
I slept in my Durston during Dave in Pembrokeshire, and it was definitely a tough night. don't let the people who bang on about how it's the skill of the pitching gaslight you; it's about the strength of the pegs. I made the mistake of only bringing the pegs that came with the tent (4 mini groundhogs and 2 shepherds hooks) and in sodden UK turf there's just no way they stay in. I even tried all the tricks like dragging giant rocks over to put on top of the pegs and everything. spent one night at one campsite sleeping in the laundry room after giving up at midnight, during Dave itself at a different campsite I was about to do the same but then I discovered a pile of heavy duty pegs for glamping tents and staked the shit out of the tent and while it was dramatic, it stayed upright. but I obviously can't carry half kilo heavy duty pegs with me every time I go out and now I don't trust the tent anymore. I previously had a MSR Hubba 1p and I never had a single problem in the wind.
For solo trips, the 1-person version should be perfect, especially if you want to save weight without sacrificing quality. Definitely worth the $260 if it’s in good condition.
