I camp in Florida in the summer in rainy season, and my Naturnest has always been dry. https://preview.redd.it/dy88rksvxavf1.png?width=1968&format=png&auto=webp&s=d6af3cb0c46f27edb2bc63aa3e55416f7f8a1e30
One of the cheaper Amazon ones, a naturnest. Still damn nice though I think. https://preview.redd.it/wfa4kssiwxrf1.png?width=1344&format=png&auto=webp&s=de20aec98dc16c0ec00f4daa44cf00cdce977486
Looks damn near identical to the Naturnest tents. Which makes sense as they are Chinese manufactured pretty much off the same template. I have one on my truck and it has been great for what we do. Could it be bigger, nicer, have better features? Absolutely, but does it get the job done and keep us comfortable at half the price as the other RTTs? Also yes. Idk if these cheaper ones skimp out on quality of canvas, hinges, mattress foam, etc. But I do know that we like the one we have.
Will depend exactly what you're comfortable with, and how much gear you have, but the Naturehike 2 person tents are pretty much big enough to actually fit two people. Vestibules are substantial. I mention this because I belive they are in stock online (in the UK at least). The Star River is probably better for cold than the Mongar. Very similar design but less mesh in the inner.
