Hello fellow adaptive baddie! I have unique tent needs as well, part of my situation is a fully fused spine, and and I think my current tent would fit your chair in the vestibule! The Nemo Chogori (the 3P) has 2 vestibules, and one of them's massive. The specs on the website look like your chair will fit! The inside of the dome-style tent is shaped really well for moving around with my funky-ass mobility, so that might be handy for you too. And it's not a totally yoga-esque goofy move for me to get in/out. It is a "mountaineering tent", maybe not in the category of tent you're lookin' for, but it is pretty lightweight for all you get with it and has some sweet vents. Also chill to set up and take down, compared to other tents I've had. I call it the "Nemotel" because it's so comfortable (had to include that bit). I've also checked out some of the Hilleberg tents, some of them have really big vesties and entrances too. Good luck on your search!
I have a 3 person Nemo and it’s a pain in the ass with only 2 people in it. Our Nemo Tensor mattresses slide around all over the place because of the extra width. Honestly, I’d take the 2 person if I could go back in time.
Got a Nemo 3p tent a couple years ago then wife broke her ankle. Finally just used it the first time and it’s great. 3 person is def the way to go for 2 people.
I’ve got a Nemo 3 person that realistically fits 2 people and some gear. It’s super packable and lightweight, fits well on the bike. I’m just above 200 cm and I fit well.
Nemo tents pack pretty small and are light. The new dragonfly seems like a good option. If it’s just you and another person a 2 person might be more than enough space.
Doesn’t help when you’re on top of the mountain in the pouring rain :) Edit this sounds a bit harsh. NEMO makes good tents I’ve owned a couple. These days I just prefer something a bit heavier.
Nemo makes great tents. i have two, one has been with me since 2012 and still works great. i got another one last year with more room cuz i have more dogs. i like that they sell internal floors to keep dogs from making holes with their paws. i also love how easy they are to set up, and how durable the materials seem to be.
Coleman actually makes a decent budget friendly tent that’s perfect for car camping. It’s my recommendation for those that are getting started with camping. For mid range, REI makes great tents. I’m a big fan of their half dome. When I decided to spend money on a good tent, I ran into similar paralysis. I narrowed it down to Big Agnes or Nemo and ended up going with the Nemo due to a thicker floor, since I’d be camping with kids and dogs. I’ve omen very happy with Nemo and have since purchased two more tents.
