We have one of the original [Nemo 2P bikepacking tents](https://www.nemoequipment.com/products/dragonfly-osmo-bikepack?variant=42051520004269) and really like it. Packs up small and is reasonably light. It's made to be able to strap to your handlebars but we often just put it in our normal handlebar bags instead of using its own. The newer versions look even nicer and they have both 1P and 2P versions. I advocate for the 2P as the weight size difference is minimal but that extra space is huge if you get stuck in bad weather or the ability to have someone with you in reasonable comfort.
r/bikepacking • Solo bikepacking tent ->Dragonfly 2p bike packing tent by Nemo, also the long wide Nemo inflatable pad with an r5.4 rating, jetboil and a 3s north face down bag with a compression sack that gets down to the size of large cantaloupe. All fits into one side of my Giant loop mototrek panniers.
r/motocamping • Any recommendations for lightweight moto-camping gear? ->Got the Nemo Dragonfly Bikepacking 2P second hand, unused for 400€. Amazing tent, 1,5kg including a DIY footprint out of Tyvec. Im using it for solo tours as well as when im going with my girlfriend.
r/bikepacking • Best bikepacking tents? ->Hi all! I'm based in the UK and go camping all-year round. I need a new tent as my old Vango Banshee 300 now leaks. So, I'm looking for a new lightweight tent. I just went camping in the Brecon Beacons over New Year's Eve and used a friend's Nemo Dragonfly Osmo 2-man Bikepacking tent, and loved it, but I want to consider other options and wanted your advice! A bit more about me: * I usually go on 1-2 night camping trips in the UK in all seasons. So, it needs to withstand heavy rain, wind, and cold temperatures. * I'm thinking that I'll be going bike packing at some point over the next 5 years, so I want a tent to be small enough to take with me. I am also likely to go for longer hiking trips - possibly weeks at a time. * It should be lightweight. Sub 1.5kg ideally * I usually go camping with someone else, so it should be able to fit two-people, comfortably. But, I also foresee going camping / bikepacking solo at some point. It needs to be able to store large rucksacks (Osprey 65L x2) in the vestibules * I don't want to sacrifice quality. My budget is sub £500, but preferably £350 max. * I want a freestanding tent with double lining. So, the options I've been thinking about: **Nemo Dragongly Osmo 2-man Bikepacking** *Pros:* Very spacious, it was the perfect size. Light and compact enough. Neat design with large vestibules and ground vestibule cover. I liked the geodisic design. *Cons:* The major downside is that outside rain cover only half way covers the inner - in heavy rain, I'd be worried it would leak if the wind angIe was slanted enough. I also didn't like having to put up the inner first and didn't like the central spider pole design - but this might be standard ? Not sure about this one. **Alpkit Ordos 2** **Copper Spur HV UL2** **Sea 2 Summit TLR 2** But I'm also happy to look at other options if they're good! Any help would be great!
r/Ultralight • 2-man backpacking / bikepacking tent ->Neemo dragonfly bikepack 1p or 2p (they packdown the same)
r/backpacking • Best Ultralight 1P Tent? ->This is the tent I'm bringing on a 3-4 months Himalaya trip (plus more). I've used it a handful times now and it's pretty fantastic. The bikepack version just makes the poles much shorter when folded, so it fits in bags easier.
r/backpacking • Best Ultralight 1P Tent? ->I jave a Nemo bike packing tent. It folds down super small and comes in a waterproof case with a handle. Fits easily at the bottom of my pack. Although, it is a 2-person tent. Sorry, i just read that part of your comment.
r/CampingandHiking • Best Backpacking Tent ->I have a Nemo Hornet 2P, and I love it, though I have only used it solo. It would work for two people but would be a tight fit. The Nemo Dragonfly is a similar design but with a little more space. I think it’s a little more expensive than what you’ve mentioned though.
r/CampingandHiking • Novice looking for advice about tents. ->I would recommend you look at the NEMO tents — specifically the Dragonfly and Hornet. Both come in 1P and 2P versions. I have older 2022 and 2024 versions of the tents and really like them. They have newer models now. Honestly for backpacking I prefer the 2P versions, even though they weigh slightly more, and I like my pack inside the tent, not in an outdoor alcove. If you’re into hammock camping, I would suggest Haven Tents..
r/CampingGear • Backpacker looking for one man tent that packs down to smallest size but not a bivvy ->Nemo. The Hornet 2P is about as light as the Durston X-Dome 2, but a little snug for two adults. The Dragonfly or Dagger are roomier, but a bit heavier.
r/CampingandHiking • Alternatives to the big names/lesser known companies? (Tents) ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
