I have a Nemo Galaxi 2p that is no longer made, but similar in design to the dagger. I’ve seen my friend’s tents destroyed after a night of bad wind (30-40 mph) but my Nemo held up perfectly fine.
I am 6’4 you need a 2P I like my Nemo. You also need a tall sleeping pad or your feet will be hanging off and you need a tall sleeping bag.
Yes, it is extra weight but it’s the price we pay for the fun of it!
We have 4, was 5 but I turned one in to a gear reseller and got $40. It was a 30 year old 2p thru-hiker mountain hardware that would not die. We also had a North Face 3p that was awesome, it was barely holding together with patches and 10 layers of seam seal, finally destroyed in a hailstorm in Golden Gate state park.

1. huge Coleman for car camping.
2. 3p mountain hardware
3. 2p (roomy) Nemo
4. 2p Sea2Summit (small) ultralight.
Depends on what we are doing, we have everything for 3-1/2 seasons.
Nemo tents pack pretty small and are light. The new dragonfly seems like a good option. If it’s just you and another person a 2 person might be more than enough space.
Doesn’t help when you’re on top of the mountain in the pouring rain :)
Edit this sounds a bit harsh. NEMO makes good tents I’ve owned a couple. These days I just prefer something a bit heavier.
Nemo makes great tents. i have two, one has been with me since 2012 and still works great. i got another one last year with more room cuz i have more dogs. i like that they sell internal floors to keep dogs from making holes with their paws. i also love how easy they are to set up, and how durable the materials seem to be.
