We recently bought a White Duck 13' Regatta Bell. We already have a Nemo 6 person tent that's perfectly good for warm weather camping, but we were looking for something that with a stove jack that would hold up well for a spring/fall snowstorm or two in the mountains. It's not yet the season for it, but we had it up in the backyard for seasoning and we were impressed with the quality of the materials, stitching, zippers, guy lines, etc. IMO it goes up easily. There was plenty of room inside for a stove and our two cots and it has good height. We are going to replace some of the stakes. Half of them are heavy duty, but the other half are the typical cheap, crappy, easily bent stakes. It fits well in the bag, but be warned, it's darned heavy and bulky. My husband loves the entrance pole that gives us something to hang onto while we're taking off our shoes at the doorway. It's much harder getting in and out of our Nemo. The White Duck is such a pleasure in comparison.
It’s just rain right? You’re not gonna melt right? I would suggest next time use a 2P tent with a drop cloth AND a overhead tarp But all that gear, consider at least 3P tent. I like the Nemo stuff
Nemo tents pack pretty small and are light. The new dragonfly seems like a good option. If it’s just you and another person a 2 person might be more than enough space.
Doesn’t help when you’re on top of the mountain in the pouring rain :) Edit this sounds a bit harsh. NEMO makes good tents I’ve owned a couple. These days I just prefer something a bit heavier.
Nemo makes great tents. i have two, one has been with me since 2012 and still works great. i got another one last year with more room cuz i have more dogs. i like that they sell internal floors to keep dogs from making holes with their paws. i also love how easy they are to set up, and how durable the materials seem to be.
Coleman actually makes a decent budget friendly tent that’s perfect for car camping. It’s my recommendation for those that are getting started with camping. For mid range, REI makes great tents. I’m a big fan of their half dome. When I decided to spend money on a good tent, I ran into similar paralysis. I narrowed it down to Big Agnes or Nemo and ended up going with the Nemo due to a thicker floor, since I’d be camping with kids and dogs. I’ve omen very happy with Nemo and have since purchased two more tents.
There are a few shelters that use trekking poles as supports. I have a Nemo that’s about the size as a Nalgene bottle.
Thanks sa reco! I just bought Nemo tent, TNF din prefer ko pero mas maganda pala nemo since Lifetime warranty
