Oztent - RV-4

This is literally what we did! Ten years in our Aldi tent then upgraded to the OzTent RV4. I bought mine on marketplace with the living area section, fly and a few other upgrades from the previous owner. The actual tent takes minutes to put up, but the lounge and awning are a bit of a faff. I’m going to ditch the awning next trip. The RV4 plus living area does sound exactly what you’re asking for. The OzTent quality is exceptional. No chance you’ll get wet (unlike our Aldi which struggled in really bad weather). It’s not cheap, but you’ll find one secondhand easily. There are actual blackout tents available so check those out too. Anaconda is always a good place to check out. Best of luck.

Love my old RV4. It’s bulletproof. Very easy to patch if needed, never leaks and is up in seconds.

We now have an oz tent rv5 with goodies but honestly, most cheaper tents will see you through if you arent camping that much. If you end up camping more, keep an eye on marketplace for a 2nd hand RV3 or 4. Plenty of them on there We have swags, small cheap tent and the Oz tent depending on the trip

From vehicle to beer - 1 person, 5 min. 4 pegs at minimum. 2 people and it’s even easier. About the same time to pack up My adhd brain hates all the faffing about and multiple steps of a tent. The rv series makes it so much better

Canvas tent will last u a lifetime, quick easy setup is a necessity. Oztent is my pick but expensive
