I went through this exact decision last year and ended up with a Pomoly Stovehut 70 and a Winnerwell Nomad stove. The Stovehut lets me mostly stand up and it’s pretty roomy for two people plus gear, though four might be a squeeze unless you pack light. I stuck with the standard pole tent because it just seemed simpler and tougher for dealing with snow load and wind. Inflatable ones look cool but I haven’t seen anyone with one out in the wild yet. Are you planning to haul everything in by car or backpack in?
Stovehut 20 or stovehut 70 have crazy ventilation. Versions 1 and 2 had issues, but it seems like version 3 has it fixed. Comes with a weight penalty though.
I have a Naturehike Masiff and had a Pomoly stovehut 70. I have only been out to the mid teens for temps, never in the minus's. I like the larger tent especially if you have to hunker down from the weather, the stoves do take a good bit of tending if you are using found firewood, which is fine for cooking or if you are awake but I have started using compressed wood logs for overnights. I did ended up getting a smaller stove because my first stove roasted me out. I totally dig hot tenting but, for me it is a commitment to that experience and not the same as regular camping or forest bathing.
Yeah, I actually have 3 Pomoly tents. The stove hut, circle 6 and chalet 70 pro. No affiliation. To be fair it’s the only brand of hot tent I’ve owned. But have had no issues, price is reasonable, quality is decent, no leaks or defects. Using the medium sized Pomoly dweller stove, also happy with the quality of it. One of the tents I bought directly off of their site, but 2 of them I was able to get off amazon.
