Car camping with my wife, REI Hobitat 4. I'll need a bigger one after the kiddos are old enough and no longer in diapers. Backpacking solo. Big Agnes fish hook UL2 (current), Alps mountaineering Mystique 1.5 (old), REI Flash Air 2 (new that I haven't yet tried). What is your budget?

r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->Is the Wonderland the replacement for the Hobitat? I have the Hobitat 4 and being able to stand up and freely move around is where it's at. Just noticed the Hobitat isn't listed anymore.
r/camping • First couple field tests for the Wawona 6 from The North Face ->Back when we car camped, we had an REI Hobitat 4 for precisely the reasons you mentioned. I could stand up in it and that made a huge difference. The vestibule would allow us to sit in our camp chairs in it of it rained. We kept our Half Dome 2+ for single night stays or when the wind was really howling.
