"Setting up a springbar is super straightforward, especially if you replace the rebar hooks with 12” lag screws and an impact driver"
"I have a 10x14’ springbar tent, I feel setup is pretty simple and straightforward compared to other tents I’ve used. I can easily set it up and take it down by myself."

"They have large windows on each side and in the back. Also a door and window in the front. ... They are made of canvas and breathe - so they're not like a sauna inside during the summer - even during the day. ... Sometimes its even a little cooler inside due to the shade. I've taken a nap in ours in the afternoon."
"don't get like a sauna in the middle of the day"
"Cooler in the heat. Warmer in the cold."

"I bought one for Burning Man (a year it rained torrentially and I was out there for two weeks) and didn't have space to store it afterwards, so gave it to a guy who lived in it on a friend's property for the next 6 years. ... He still has the tent, although he has permanent housing, and it's in great shape-- that thing is a workhorse!!"

Springbar Family Camper - expensive but amazing materials and if you take care of it…, will be a family heirloom. Plenty of space, amazing quality, breathable, massive windows. I really love my tent 🙏🏻 https://preview.redd.it/v4d1jpyazv7g1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fc4030bc26e0c2f3a674b3c3bc8637579e952bb
OK Im uniquely qualified to answer this question! My time to shine finally! I was a previous owner of a Springbar Family Camper and current owner of the cheapy Coleman Blackout Tents. One thing to consider with the Springbars, are the amount of sunlight that get let through them. Theyre great tents, very comfortable, setup easy, but they just let in way to much light for getting little kids down to bed. Ultimately we went back to the cheap blackout Coleman tent and have been happy with that. It wont last as long as the Springbar, but it works while our kids are really little, and eventually we can buy another Springbar if we want too.
Been overlanding for years with a springbar tent...10 x 14.
Kodiak or Springbar canvas tent. For 6 people you’ll want a 10x14. They’re pricey but very worth it IMO.

Get yourself a USA made Springbar. Yes, they are more expensive but worth every penny and a lifetime warranty.
I love my Springbar. Going on 10 years of use and it is still in excellent condition.
Have you looked at a Kodiak or Springbar tent? They're heavy, but bombproof. They're not hard to set up either, and don't get like a sauna in the middle of the day.
Look into Springbar or Kodiak tents. They aren't cheap, but your grandchildren won't need to replace it when they're taking their kids camping. You may be able to find a used one close to your price range. I got my 6 person Springbar for $400.
If you are car camping, consider buying a Kodiak or Springbar Tent. Same design different companies. I've seen them remain standing in 50 mph winds. I know people who use their grandparent's old tent. They are bombproof, but they ain't cheap. I picked up my 10x10' - sleeps 4 VERY comfortably and you can stand up and get dressed for $400 used. I don't recommend anything else for car camping.
Springbar or Kodiak tents are expensive and heavy, but last for YEARS. They stand up in 80mph winds. You can stand up in them and the 10x10 version is plenty for a family of four. My wife and kids sleep on cots and all the gear goes under the cots. I put a footprint under it and use two picnic blankets inside to protect the floor. I got mine used - very lightly used for about $400.
Looks great but I think I'll be picking up a 10x14 Springbar. Definitely some real trade off with weight though. But also much more durable and dependable. Edit: didn't realize the inflatables are also heavy. I guess the only trade off is ease of setup. Although, the springbar doesn't seem to be all that hard or slow to setup.
Well, the guy got it off aliexpress. I'm thinking the better brands would be better. I've seen very well made inflatable tents for "overlanding" as well as inflatable truck canopy. In anycase, I just picked up a springbar 140 yesterday so i'm good.
I’ll add this, we used a 10x10 Coleman for years while car camping with two kids and felt it was plenty roomy. The same size Springbar feels much larger in comparison due to the straighter walls & high ceiling. You mention Burning Man and wind being a concern. I set this tent up in the yard for ten days to season. Completely dry through two rain storms, including one with 50mph gusts. I’m starting to believe the hype surrounding these tents.
The only downside to those is the weight. They are absolute tanks, though, and are definitely BIFL.
I bought one for Burning Man (a year it rained torrentially and I was out there for two weeks) and didn't have space to store it afterwards, so gave it to a guy who lived in it on a friend's property for the next 6 years.
