Tarptent Preamble. $200, A-frame style, silpoly, netted and floorless so a dog won’t destroy it. plenty big for me and my 60lb dog (or me and another person). I use a sheet of polycro for a floor. this setup is really light too.
r/CampingandHiking • Tent recommendations for 1 person + dog ->i use the tarptent preamble for me and my dog. i love it. it’s floorless, so i don’t have to worry about her messing it up. it has a mesh skirt and zip door so it’s still fully enclosed. at $200, it’s also really affordable for a highly featured silpoly shelter.

r/CampingGear • Looking for budget friendly, easy setup A Frame tent like this ->I thought about the xmid and the Tarptent Dipole. Ended up with the Dipole because I'm tall and I didnt like the large footprint required to set up the Tarptent. I got the 1p and it's huge in the inside (for a ul tent).
