We have a Vango Banshee Pro 300 that me and the Mrs use. It’s got enough room for us and bags if weather isn’t great. It’s been used on well over 100 nights over 4 years and not had 1 issue. Looked at replacing it recently but couldn’t find anything that pitches in one would have been an upgrade

Can confirm I've used banshee 300 for many years and the 300 is a better fit for 2 people with gear.

Vango Banshees are solid, small, reasonably priced tents. Pitch outer & inner together. They are small. Not one to get if you value head room.

I really like my Vango banshee. It's very easy to put up. Doesn't pack down that small though.

The thing about the Banshee is that it doesn't have an inner mesh door, so you can't watch the view outside while keeping bugs out. It was a problem for me in midge-land but it's probably fine elsewhere

You can get by without breaking the bank mate. Ive done the west highland way with my vango banshee. Dont think i could manage it 10 years on though lol

Something like a Vango Banshee or Wild Country Zephyros would be a good starting point. Not a true 4 season tent but sturdy enough for year round use (just avoid strong winds and snow, they're not suitable for that).

> Like the other guy said though, id only try a naturehike (and all the other chinese type budget ones) in perfect and sunny weather. Naturehike tents are generally fine for 3 season camping, even in 30 mph winds (gusts) they'll be ok provided you set up sensibly. What they're not suitable for is 1) Heavy snow 2) situations where a broken pole could mean a risk of death. I wouldnt recommend them for camping at elevation, or in proper winter conditions, but they're not 'just sunny weather' tents. I have a fair bit of camping experience, and honestly the Cloudup 2 I got this autumn holds up as well as my Vango banshee or Lanshan 2 (both regularly recommended) in 3 season conditions. (Edited to say 30mph winds, 40 mph is quite a big difference)
