Per recommendations on this subreddit, I’ve been looking into CORE instant tents. For your needs, you might consider the 9 person one. My family of five currently uses a 10-person Coleman weathermaster tent that is very sturdy and waterproof, but takes two people and too long to set up. I have an 8yo and 5yo twins, so we are moving towards a two-tent set up rather than all sleeping in one. I’m leaning towards the CORE 6 person instant tent for ease of set up, and then we will probably get a second one or a 4 person as the second tent. BUT the giant ten person tent fit a queen size mattress, double mattress and two pack n plays, which was clutch when our kids were little and needed that. We then put my older daughter and girl twin together on the double and added a twin size pad for my boy twin. Also big enough to hang out in when the weather isn’t top notch. So I definitely recommend a really big tent when the kids are young lol.

Core instant tents are great. Very affordable, durable for car camping, standing interior height and so easy to put up. Both the 6 and 10 person instant tents have full rain fly versions. Fwiw, the Core 6 person tent is such a better dimension over the Coleman. The Core footprint is rectangular vs the Coleman square footprint. It makes using the space so much more efficient. ** We use 3 cots in our Core tent with walking/standing space between the cots, something not possible in our friends’ Coleman.

r/campingTent with just 2 separate rooms?

I have the 10 person instant setup dark room Coleman for my family of 4. It’s not technically 2 rooms but it has a fabric divider you can use to separates one side from the other effectively making it like 2 rooms. A huge plus is it blocks out most light which should make it easier for the kid to nap. It’s also much quicker to setup than a traditional tent. It has 2 entry/exit points but I’d consider this a plus since it gives you options. I previously had a Wenzel tent which did have 2 rooms…it was an OK cheap tent but would highly recommend the Coleman over it.
