Zempire - Pronto 5 V2

I’ve got a zempire pronto 5. It’s just me and my wife so don’t need a huge tent. This is big enough for a queen mattress, a camp fridge and all our gear.

I’ve got a pronto 5 and an oztent RV5. Both very similar setup times but the pronto has more usable space. Had the pronto for 2-3 years I think no issues yet.

I generally take the pronto as it takes less room, and has more usable space. The RV5 is 2 meters long packed up so needs to go on the roof racks. I think in the rain I prefer the oztent though as the awning is much better. Pronto awning is woefully inadequate. The reason I have 2 is I have 2 4wd’s. I’ve got a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Suzuki sierra soft top. The soft top can’t carry anything on the roof so I decided to get another tent that I can carry inside. But even when I take the Toyota I tend to take the pronto.

I'd just go a brand name like zempire where you know you can continue to get parts (like tubes) in case something does go wrong. The zempire pronto's were going for very similar prices not too long ago before goign eol.

I have a Zempire Pronto and it's amazing in the wind. It's taken a beating in the wind and rain and is still going strong. For car camping it's really good. Check to see if you have one available or any good quality inflatable tent in general.

Have found the Zempire air frame tents to be pretty bomb proof in my experience. I love the Oztents too - can't go wrong with them, but they're pretty long when packed.

The larger Zempire tents have airpoles, which are strong tubes that you pump up with air. I was skeptical myself until I saw one at the campground, and they're brilliant. They are quick to erect and lightweight. The pumping itself part is quick and easy until the last few PSI when you use their high pressure hand pump just to put the extra charge into it. Once that's done, they are rock solid strong.
