I use the Zpacks Duo. (22 oz) It can be trekking pole tent or you can use the freestanding poles which add an extra 10 ounces to the carry. For me the 10 ounces is worth it most of the time because it’s a perfect pitch every time and fairly easy to set up. It is a little more expensive than most, but worth it. I thru hiked the entire Appalachian Trail with one and it’s still going strong.
r/Ultralight • 2 person tent recommendations ->Most Zpacks tents like the Duplex, Altaplex, and Plex Solo have a 5" overhang around the perimeter. The Pivot actually has a 7" gap around the sides and back, so more than normal. The door can be left open in light rain to help with airflow.
