"70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos."

"No, not hard at all, the camera modules are secured to the glass with a double-sided tape (comes included). ... The included cables are plenty long enough to reach from front to back."

r/keretaBest dash cam for car with adas and can withdraw Malaysian melting heat?

using 70mai pro for more than a few years, no such issue also, parked car under hot sun without windows opened. actually why need camera with ADAS? Not annoying with the thing always beeping? It cannot detect that you're using signal, everytime change lane will beep no?

I've always considered DDPAI but recently I think I'd lean more to 70Mai even if there older models are not using supercapacitors yet because the video quality at night is noticeably better. I think their lenses are generally better too, with the latest Z60 Pro that goes for ₱12,000 without discounts recently adopting it too, but 70Mai's software still pulls ahead for night time quality.

r/CarsPHDash Cam, Ano po magandang dash cam? , yung quality po talaga, Thank you.

Hi - as others have said, the DDPAIs and 70Mais are popular because they work - and they are cost effective and high quality. But - make sure they are installed properly and set your expectations properly OP. Many dashcams fail because they are not installed properly or they are asked to do too much.

Viofo are the dogs bollocks, 70 mai are quite good and cheap. Nextbase are expensive and absolutely shite.

r/CarsIndiaSuggest me a dash cam which can stay 24/7
5 months ago

Get a 70mai or even better options like Redtiger or DDPAI and use a hardwire kit with it.. It will allow you to record 24/7 and don't forget to check if the hardwire kit has a voltage protection so that the battery will not be drained.

I dread the day I'll have to have my baby, or anyone's baby in the car tbh. Also I recommend the 70mai dash cam, it's a bit expensive but very good!

A rechargeable RTC battery should be fine, first because it should be located in the cool part of the camera, as Viofo's are, and second because the charge and discharge rates are extremely slow. A main lithium battery is a totally different matter, they need to be charged rapidly, with enough power to shutdown safely, before the camera can start recording, and they are big enough that they often don't fit in the cool part of the camera. 70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos. There have been a few reports of Viofo RTC batteries needing to replaced, but it is unusual, and I don't think it is due to heat problems.
