I just changed my 70mai a810-2 for TK800 model. I've had 70mai (xiaomi) since a500 and went through almost all models beside Omni, they saved me 4x already from irresponsible drivers and payed off themselves numerous times. I'm upgrading due to the 3'rd channel (beside front and back they added IR interior cam loke Ventrue) just because of AI cameras who wants to take money claiming "no seatbelt" (which I have all-time).
70Mai A810-2, dual channel. Using it since a year, no issues. Affordable price. Don’t fall for expensive ones. This one does the job and is around 500 dirhams. If you park your car under the sun it will be problematic with regard to the battery, otherwise works perfectly. Never switched off by itself and I commute to AD 3 times a week under the sun but I only park in shaded parking wherever I go.
I have 70mai. Perfectly suits my needs and affordable. Got it for 500 front and rear
If you want what works for daily driving and road trips without overthinking it, I’d look at Viofo or 70mai first. Best bang for buck right now is probably the [70mai A810](https://amzn.to/4ri7KOm) has a 4K front cam, optional rear cam. Good clarity, decent night performance, easy app. It’s kind of the “set it and forget it” option. If you want something a bit nicer with better video quality and reliability, [Viofo A329](https://amzn.to/4ktefuY) is hard to beat. Super clear 4K, great night performance, and it’s a brand a lot of dashcam nerds trust. If budget isn’t tight and you want front + rear with top-tier quality, [BlackVue DR970X](https://amzn.to/4tNATmi) or [Vantrue N4 Pro](https://amzn.to/4cwvtFM) are solid, but they’re pricier. Main thing: get at least 4K front, add a rear cam if possible, and buy a high-endurance SD card. After that, most modern dashcams are pretty plug-and-play.
I own the 70mai A810 2-ch and Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch. When it comes to the 70mai A810, I am not a fan of its front cameras 4K @ 25 FPS (frames per second) when in 2-ch mode with rear camera connected. And it has a physical battery instead of a supercapacitor. I stopped using it mainly due to the 25 FPS as in many scenes the video is just too jittery looking during playback. As for the A229 Plus. It records at 2K up to 60 FPS front and rear when HDR is disabled, or 30 FPS F&R when HDR is enabled. Also incorporates a supercapacitor. Been using it since Aug 2024 having zero issues/complaints to-date. P.S. I'm not here to dis 70mai as I own several of their dash cams feeling they've all been pretty decent, for the price... Over the past year and some 70mai has made some welcome improvements to their more recent dash cams like equipping them w/supercapacitors. Viofo isn't perfect either yet feel they are your best option here when considering these two model/brands.
I suggest you check out some reviews on both of them to make a more informative decision on which one would suit you best. I own a few Viofo's including the A229 Plus 3-ch. The brand has been very good to me over the years in terms of reliability. The A229 Plus records 2K front & rear, 1080p interior. For my type of usage, 2K is more than ample. I also own several 70mai dash cams some older some newer... The older 70mai models had physical batteries whilst those produced in the last year and some are equipped with super-capacitors. Yes a capacitor equipped dash cam is preferred. Either way, this brand has been very good to me as well. P.S. I do not own the 70mai M800 (released in Aug 2025) so can't honestly comment on it worth. But I do have the 4K Omni X800, a 360° camera of sorts which was released in May of this year, and it's great!.
Have this on 3 vehicles, happy with its performance https://a.co/d/01BuLxLq
Using 70Mai A810SE from taobao. Cheap and good. Can record in 4K HDR. Big upgrade from my old Thinkware.
