"Why pay so much ? Get a 70mai and they do it in half the price"

"70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos."

"No, not hard at all, the camera modules are secured to the glass with a double-sided tape (comes included). ... The included cables are plenty long enough to reach from front to back."

I second this, the service is pretty good and price definitely competitive/more affordable than the Korean brands that are out there.
I've been using the 70 Mai Lite 2 and it's been working great for me tbh, great quality and visibility, I can see and read license plates in the footage, and even at night it's really good. Super happy with it for being $30 when I bought it a year or 2 ago Otherwise, for my 26' Camry XSE, I just use the built-in OEM dashcam
I have a 70MAI in both our cars, the one without a screen. It works flawlessly. I have only downloaded videos twice, and the quality is good. Not HD, but good. Had it for more than a year and can not complain.
Viofo are the dogs bollocks, 70 mai are quite good and cheap. Nextbase are expensive and absolutely shite.
Check nyo po 70mai na brand. Before bumili lang ako sa shopee nung nagsale tapos pina install ko na lang. Daming installer sa fb marketplace na naghohome service.
Not sure with the exact model. Pero check nyo po shopee ni 70mai madami po dun, pili na lang.
Get a 70mai or even better options like Redtiger or DDPAI and use a hardwire kit with it.. It will allow you to record 24/7 and don't forget to check if the hardwire kit has a voltage protection so that the battery will not be drained.
I dread the day I'll have to have my baby, or anyone's baby in the car tbh. Also I recommend the 70mai dash cam, it's a bit expensive but very good!
A rechargeable RTC battery should be fine, first because it should be located in the cool part of the camera, as Viofo's are, and second because the charge and discharge rates are extremely slow. A main lithium battery is a totally different matter, they need to be charged rapidly, with enough power to shutdown safely, before the camera can start recording, and they are big enough that they often don't fit in the cool part of the camera. 70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos. There have been a few reports of Viofo RTC batteries needing to replaced, but it is unusual, and I don't think it is due to heat problems.
Just got a 70mai, and so far so good.
Interesting, never seen that one shop.skoda-auto.cz . They seem to be Pioneer, not an official Skoda accessory because they lack the part number. Maybe it’s a partnership at local importer in Belgium. I’ve seen them in our local tech shops recently but they lack user reviews and they’re long way from beating 70mai(Xiaomi) 😁
