beaverskeet 1.0Nothing expensive for me, I just got a $30 70mai Dash Cam M310 off amazon for the legacy. I also had gotten the dongar adapter to splice power from the mirror power harness. The cam is mounted right in front of the mirror. Before the 70mai, I used 2 APEMAN Dash Cam C660 in both my cars. I think this company has changed names, but I see basically the same camera on amazon still. The 70mai is nice, it doesn't have a screen so it's smaller, and can fit in front of my rearview mirror without obstructing any of my view. I can get the files off the SD card with my phone using their app, but you have to be within the cam's "hotspot" and connected to it's network to pull the files. It doesn't use cloud or anything, but you only have to use the app or connect to the cam if you want to pull the files. Fortunately I've never needed the dashcam footage in the 4+ years I've used them, but think everyone should have them.
